I do not want see
-Nitrous in GT5, except in drag races should there be that kind of races..
-nearly 3ft tall wings
-lack of wings that look good on hatchbacks
-anyone using shortcuts without hefty penalty.

I want more depth in tuning, difference in parts between manufacturers... since when do all the tuning companies make everything???

Like have TEIN parts for suspension but the real ones, HKS turbos and stuff like braided fuel lines, change brake pads to Project Mu ones and stuff like that, all the detail possible and REAL products.... and
have like updates where products are added as theyre released in real life... that would absolutely insane, obviously all for performance...

I agree with your post but this is the wrong thread, this is "Things I don't want to see in GT5".

;).

I dont want exclusive/uniques cars in Gold Licences!

To obtain all the gold licences in GT sometimes is very dificult and take a lots of time . . . and people who do not have patience as some of my friends just quit os this fantastic machines!

I think all cars should be purchased in the manufacturer/online/used stock etc or by prize of race.

In my opinion the reward of Licences should be only in $ $ $.

I have to disagree, aiming for gold licenses in GT4 made me the GT4 driver I am. I just wish the new physics engine on GT5:P was controller friendly, alas it's not. If you want to be quick, I think you have to get a wheel for GT5:P.

Honestly, I don't want damage. I know it's coming and I have accepted this, but alas, I do not have that many issues with GT.

I don't really mind about poor GUI design/autosaving, because if thats going to be the worst aspect of the Gran Turismo series, so be it, I'd rather them focus on the more important parts of the game. However, I wouldn't mind having a bit better design of how you go about tuning cars, especially because in Prologue its a real pain to tune two different cars for two player splitscreen more, it requires you to actually start a single player race, tune the car, then back right out again to start a two player race.
But as its Prologue and 2 player was likely added on quite late, I'll let that one slide.

The main things I don't want in GT5:
-Cars that can only be used in time trial events, though fortunately, I don't we'll see this happen again.
-1 lap Nurburgring license test, because it took me forever to learn it and not make a single mistake for over 8 minutes. I never even attempted to gold that test, I'm guessing its probably easy to run the time, but the sheer frustration of making tiny mistakes and having to restart the entire test again doesn't appeal to me one bit. I'm all for improving driving skill and your knowledge of the course, but really, the Nurburgring? Was that really necessary?

That's it really, I don't really mind the AI, I mean, I know its horrible AI, but AI is always going to be horrible and I never expect the best side-by-side racing from them anyway, this is what online mode is meant to help with.
I'd be quite happy with a upscaled GT4 + Online mode really, theres not much to really fix with it.

👍 Also when you're on the grass it's like being on ice, not cool.

Although its exaggerated a tiny bit, I find it quite realistic really. Now if you want evil grass, try playing F1:CE.

Oh how true this statement is , the grass is demon possessed.
I have seen the grass at every track, got my moneys worth,so to speak.

But to the point at hand , the extensive waiting period to do a driving mission , if there are any. This probably may have been mentioned before,if so,then sorry.

yeah like the 2 min wait in the ring mission it just gets boring

I think the modelling of touching grass while at speed is realistic, but when you try moving on grass from a standstill, especially with road tyres on, you get nowhere and fast. That's annoying.

Things I don't want to see in GT5?

Only three come to mind:
- B-spec
- Rally
- Races on the test-track

I think as your name implies, that'll be OnlyYou who wants that.;)

Is there really anything I wouldnt want GT5 to have!

Well I guess I don't want to see a million skylines or have loads of minivans which waste PD's dev'ing time when they could be doing some nice Ferrari's or something! I just hope they use that 50GB of Blu Ray space wisely :sly:

You have to be kidding, those are the thing I would expect to return, let alone want! I want Complex String back aswell!

Robin

complex string was an excellent all round test track but it needs much improvement, it should turn into the Nurburgring of GT but more for testing and stuff.... complex string had no character, it needs elevation changes, surroundings and stuff, if they improve it big time i want it back...

what i dont want to see is cars spinning when they get washed... or wheels that as 3d in Garage and only 2d while racing (but that we can already see is not the case)

Yeah it was definitely one of my favorite tracks in GT3. I think it only had one or 2 elevation change areas....one notably being the blind "S "corners, which were quite fun. Unfortunately, if I recall, we weren't able to race any cars there...

BRING IT BACK PD!

I think you could, but only if it was two players or Free Run. But I remember putting GT3 in for the first time in Four years and when I did that test, I passed on the first attempt and was proud. I'd love to see it back

I actually agree to this. B-spec is ofcourse handy for those who doesn´t have the time to race a 24hrs race, but give us the possibility to save during pistops and ´not many will miss B-spec. The rallying is just horrid in GT and should either get a real workover or be scrapped alltogether. Races on the test-track (I assume you mean the oval) is really boring and should be kept at a minimum.
One more thing I´d like to see much less of is Tsukuba, since it´s the most boring track in GT4 by a huge margin (yes, even the test-track oval is more fun). It doesn´t help that the track is featuered in almost all series and championships in both GT4 and Forza2 either.

No more mismatched grids. It gets tiring when I have to race my Wedssport Celica against A field of mainly Rally cars.

Wow, guess Turn10 studios and Polyphony Digital have an obsession with Tsukuba. I agree about having races on the test course Oval as its just too long. It should only be used for speed tests and thats it, nothing more.

It would not hurt my feelings if Chamionex was not there horrible track, Mini Vans, old 30 hp cars the 1 min wait to start some of the mission races,Test Track,New York course,BSpec mode,& the silly elevator music on the menu screens, all would be welcome deletions.

I agree, the idea was great but it was so bland, like totally flat most of the time with very little scenery, They need to jazz it up and add huge elevations and in track scenery. It would then be, as you said, GT's Nurburgring. They also need to make it available for racing on. Now that you can have more cars racing a huge track like that wont seem too empty.

Something which has the scenery and elevation of the Millbrook testing ground in the UK would look sweet.

Anyone remember the Gran Turismo Vision trailer?

It showed tracks like Costa di Amalfi, Grand Canyon, and Chamonix running many cars rather than just two... I don't want to see this. Not at all. A grid of 16 cars will be hell at the hairpins at Amalfi... not to mention just... wrong. Those tracks should remain one-on-ones.

Get rid of some of the conformation screens and remove the message on start up that tells me "The date and time are not set correctly", but they are!!

I just thought about something that many people want, but I sure do not! A driftmode! I hate drifting, and sadly, I´m pretty sure drifting will be a part of GT5. I hope for my own sake that it is a non-vital part and that I can just skip it!

I myself am not a Drifter type of person , But I give a MAJOR LEAGUE 👍👍👍 to those that do this , they are great at what they do and you cannot take that away from them !!!!

GREAT JOB DRIFTERS

It´s not that I´m bad at it, I just find it very boring and unrewarding. Much like oval racing, wich I for some reason do very good, but also find very boring and unrewarding.

I'm not sure how or what you consider unrewarding. I guess what I'm trying to ask is with the little or no experience at any of the two (from what I've seen at least)you have, how do you consider them unrewarding?
