This damn AE86...

Ive been trying to make this car drift well for the fast 3 days and I can't figure out how to balance it. It is close to impossible to control in the corners, I spin out every single damn time.
It has 172 hp on sims... can anyone help me

cant really help you.. my trueno is tuned at 335hp or sumthin like that.. and im running sports tires.. maybe u should try normal tires? or maybe tune ur lsd to have less torq response..

toe angle is : 0.5 - 1.5
shock bound : 5 - 7
shock rebound : 6 - 7..........
try it........i use those setting of my AE86 and it never spin out........and.....your Brake Ballance : 5-21.......

what LSD u using...

this is what i have and it works pretty good......
152 horse power
10.9/12.2 spring rate
99/104 ride height
8/7 shock bound
8/7 shock rebound
2.8/3.0 camber angle
0/0 toe
7/6 stabalizers
60 initial torque
60 accel slip
50 decel slip

man tose cars are simple to tune, i have 3 and an ss version and one of em has only 146hp with slicks and it drifts like mad, just make a high fron camber with a zero rear camber, fron toe in of .5, and a very high spring rate on the back, and make sure u ave a full LSD customization

No offense man, but that doesn't make alot of sense. The tires you use only need to be matched with the HP, it doesn't matter what tires you use as long as the car is tuned for the tires you have chosen. ;)

exhaust_note,
are we talking about ss version or apex tureno? i've had both and they perform very well.
also what sort of upgrades have u done?
suspension?
drive train?
brakes?
it's pretty hard to help if there is too much assumption involved.

*laughs histerically* all you people and your silly settings... The 86 isn't about settings. You wan't to control the 86 in a corner? Try letting it do what it wants and work with it, don't try and force it.

not the ss, the normal 86

fine, take my suggestions for the ss and implement them on the normal 86. takes a bit of throttle control but it's best to drift with NO adjustments.

Who are my other drifters out there who have crossed that boundry that drifting becomes instantaneous with cars and you don't even care about the settings or how to do it? I Wanna hear some shouts.

MEEEEEE!!! even though i'm a total drift n0000b. stock all the way with sims on all 4 corners. then just punch the gas in the corner and i'm sideways. now, it's just a matter of maintaining the drift that i'm still working out. sometimes i have to add a bit of power to the engine to make it around the ultra-long corners.

What about the rest of you, I know you're out there. Thio, Lanevo, Cudaman, Night_Drifter and Akina_86 (yes, they do have the gift... even if ND's is on S.S.'s) And the rest of the old clan... Where are my shouts?!

i def. drift cars stock... we had this whole big discussion on it about a month ago... i just don't like the car and was looking toward setting to try and change that...

I'd say 95% of my drift cars are stock. Only my FD and maybe two other cars are actually tuned. I can just hop into just about any car now and drift it just as well as any other.

I never tune any of my cars. Right now I'm driving a normal 86 with 188 hp on normal tires with regular everything except transmission and that is really fun to drive cuz it reminds me so much of initial d.
