O
Who are those people?Okay, so you want to limit the amount of criticism. How much would you like it limited by?What's the difference between stating your opinion that it is complete as fact and someone else stating their opinion that it isn't as fact?

Have to say, Polyphony Digital say they haven't finished work on it yet and there's a number of features yet to come, so for at least one definition of "complete" it's fair to say that it is not.
Ok famine, i will stop here. It doesnt lead to anything anyway.

I never called anyone a liar, I guess I don't know enough people on here then. Since you have played(owned) both, I would assume what you say is true. I was think to my self. If I don't own the game why comment on something I dont know about. As I said here.

Now you said....

" Who probably don't even own both systems or both games"

....that clearly infers that those making the claim are being untruthful about it. What an other word for someone who isn't telling the truth. Yep that's it.

I have a feeling you think my posts were directed at you or the staff. It was a eye roll at the people that waste their time trolling.
Your posts were directed at anyone who commented on GT from a FM perspective, that would include me, so yes it would have been directed at me.

Which is exactly why making the type of blanket statement and crude assumption you did is an issue, very few members here troll, because they don't last long. However given your blanket statements it would seem that you level the term at anyone who prefers FM and/or critiques GT. The staff use a definition that a far bit more specific than that.

Where's B-Spec? Course Maker? Remote Racing? Proper Rally? Machine Tests? Museum Cards, Horns, AMG Academy, Paint Chip log in bonuses, NASCAR tutorial, Gran Turismo Rally, SHUFFLE RACING, Monthly DLC, Suspension post-rig, Sound update, Community features, or the photomode locations and features that mysteriously disappeared.

The fact that GT6 offers less than GT5 (when you could argue GT5 was also to an extent incomplete) means that PD really do have some work to do.

Regardless, don't put the blame on GTPlanet, put the blame on PD.

Maybe GT6 was developed with GT7 together and they decided to improve these features for next gen?

Yes many of these features must be back soon but some unnecessary feautures are also relevant and it's sad (for example I saw a guy that complained that there were only 100 new cars lol)

I get it my comment was to generic. And appears to be very biased...

I have no idea what Forza bashing goes on in the Forza Forums, from GT users. And if I read some I would probably have the same opinion(trolling) about the GT user bashing Forza. By bashing I mean belittling the game or creator for reason x,y or z. And I have seen trolls get the boot, I know y'all do your job.

Now I am bowing out of this convo, before I say something generic again and get misunderstood.

What disappoints me the most about GTP is people who cannot tolerate spirited discourse, those that only want to see one side of a discussion, their own:tdown:. There's no swearing here, no name-calling, good grammar and sentence structure is required and best of all, no annoying textspeak:mad:. Outrageous, false, silly claims are quickly dispatched with logic and reason:idea:. The community is populated with people who obviously have extensive knowledge in various aspects of gaming, programming, game design, sound engineering, engineering in general, business, marketing, etc. etc. etc. and those people contribute freely with their time and effort solely to help the members of this community:cheers:. I can't think of a single negative aspect of the community to be honest.:)

But if you can't tolerate a well moderated, civil, spirited debate, then this forum definitely isn't for you @Rouward :ouch:. I do suggest you watch from the sidelines for a while and try to look at things with an open mind and cruise a few other gaming sites to see just how good things are here:gtpflag:.

And let's not forget about all the wonderful smiley's! :dopey:

This is becoming Parcells new favorite thread. Entertainment value is pretty high in a sad sort of way.

I understand that Rouward is revolted but I think that he does not have to complain only because the people talks about Forza, NFS, etc. This site is not only for GTPlanet but also for many things, as well! So, if I was him, I wouldn't have created this thread. 👍

I love GTP, but this is essentially how I feel about 95% of the GT section:

Hence, I tend to stay away from there

Wow. With the number of Mods and spanking going on here, (not to mention to aspersions the OP made) I'm amazed this discussion has been kept open this long.

Ouch! Quite literally

I've seen a lot of things on the Internet. Some wonderful things & some horrible, horrible things.

In recent times, I've pretty much only read newspapers while online. Since discovering more of gtplanet though it has become my go to site when looking for something to read & I've become quite out of touch with the rest of the world's goings on.

I've seen no other website where logic is respected so much in public discussions & ultimately prevails the way it does here.

This is also the only place where I've ever used smileys, they just seem so right here.:dopey:

Or this kind of subject: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...-masses-to-purchase-gt7.318443/#post-10157707

Frankly .... You think it's good? Not me

Nor me (check that thread, where I eventually just point out how stupid the thread was when all GT7 needs to do to sell well is have a large marketing campaign put behind it). The intentional attempts to undermine what value the Q&A concept has left with people taking turns how subtly nasty they can be is something I lamented was going to happen immediately after the Q&A was announced; and the time I was called a shill I mentioned earlier was when I called out Marsten over one of his other threads that served no purpose than to rep-whore himself.

But I also recognize that the people who go around the GT6 forum showing how witty they are by intentionally misrepresenting points and dismissing them (or sometimes just dismissing them) are making things no better just because they are pro-GT.

So from what I gather reading at least 1st page and maybe 2 others is that people have a Fantasy vs Reality thing going on here.

Cause being negative is just never good right? For some here especially the OP disagreeing with them is not possible, or it can't happen correct?

Good post!...I have the same feeling...

That's what I call it when a Mod rightfully chastises someone.
Maybe you stirred up some bad memories for Cheez:)

There has been a growing cacophony of criticism from GTP concerning PD and GT6 and yet for the first time ever, we see Kaz setting up a Q and A here (failed so far but still it got started)and Kaz in an interview admitting mistakes. Mistakes!!! From Kaz!!! If anything we should ratchet it up a couple of notches, pedal to the metal, all hands on deck sort of thing.

GTPlanet-Covering the World of Gran Turismo! If we moderate our negativity, this 'world' could be more appreciate!

You forgot to mention Shuffle Racing.

You and Marsten are doing a good (ie. negative) enough job between you. Not sure if there is really a need for this call to arms, so to speak.
Oh Jimmy I'm blushing. That's high praise indeed.

I'm the opposite, I came from Forza to Gran Turismo a year after Forza 4 was release. Let me say that Forza isn't a perfect game either. If people think Gran Turismo fails to move forward, well so does Forza. Forza fans, including me, have been wanting night/weather/rally for so long, and it still hasn't happened on next-gen. Turn 10 have only added maybe one or two important features to their games in the past few iterations, and removed a lot of content in the last one. I got the feel that Forza has become the CoD of racing sims, they're on a two year dev cycle, so everytime they release a new game, the community can't help but feel let down by the lack of new features and content.

My point is that neither game is perfect, just choose which game's features fit you.

You're right that Forza has similar problems with sticking in it's little groove.

Although it did release a spin-off featuring night/weather/rally and an open world. Surely that counts for something.
