politicians rewened rome and all the might that rome had so i would not be surprised if the same thing happens again.

Just as i said. The Ajax supporters call themselves Jews. It's some sort of nickname. Nobody knows why. The rival supporters try to insult those supporters, including me, by using anti-jewish phrases.

The interesting thing about this whole thread is; as misguided and uniformed this dude is, his views are representative of a large group of people. the scary part is he's probaly a moderate in his circle . multiply this fellow by 200 million and its understandable why Isreal needs aid and that peace in that region any time soon is not gonna happen. I myself have had not much sympathy for the Jewish state because of the Palistinians and the way they have been screwed over. But I have to respect the reasons that the Isreali's feel so threatened because of the overwhelming evidence presented almost daily by people such as A A and his like. He's doing more for the cuase of the Isreali's by spouting his twisted version of reality than 1 million in dollars could buy from an advertisement.

This was, and indeed remains one of the major sources of my concern about this whole drama. AA's overly emotive missives here are unfortunately illustrative of the anger in the Arab world against the US and the coalition partners (including us) and the perception that this is an attack on Islam and the Arab world.
I think the failure of the Bush administration to get the UN Security Council onside (and this issue should have really been in front of them in September or October last year, with a clear timetable, rather than the complete rushed effort we saw a couple of months ago that left the distinct impression the US had no intention other than attack Iraq) has considerably worsened this perception.
I also believe that the failure to address this perception prior to the war has meant that the conflict may in fact further destablise the region rather than provide peace and stability.
I only hope that the war ends soon and that it does not spread - but I think the US (and coalition partners) have made a lot of enemies in the region.

Yes the USA supports Israel but it also supports many nations. I doubt Israel would fall if we withdrew our support. What would probably happen is the day after we did withdaw our support Israel would wipe out it's enimies around it before the ammo ran out.
Besides there are hundreds of thousands of people like me who give generously to the Israeli defense Fund.
I don't hate the arab nations or their people. I hate the way they behave towards Israel and the USA.

I think You Forum Moderators owe it to you consciences and the safety of your fellow Americans to report all the information you can about this guy to the proper authorities so he can get the help he needs dealing with these issues.

actually i always abuse my freedom of speech, because i'm american................hello is it because i am a muslim i am not american any more.................. i converted to islam a year ago after sept 11th. and yes sept 11th opened my eyes to a lot of things. and i defended arabs because a lot of my friends are arabs and they are good people.
but then again i would like to thank you for pointing this out.

I have no denomination or religion and am fully aware of what many denominations are capable of in the name of their gods and beliefs. (Just look at the history of Christianity). But you did wade in on the heavy side on a US based forum.

and another thing, i love this country that is why i am living in it. i can not imagine my self living in any other country not even in europe which i consider a very nice continent but the truth is i feel as if america is tailored made for my needs and my ambitions.
i love what this country stands for and i hate the politicians who are ruining it for theire own personell goals.

It's one thing to state your views in a calm and rational matter.But when you start out on your first sentence stating that all those who support the war are fools then you might as well be saying let's step outside and settle this. We are pretty diverse here at this forum and welcome many different ideas and points of views. We sometimes get a little upset at someone who offers a different oppinion than our own but in the end we at least try and see things from their view.
When I first came onto this forum I got into a lot of debates that got people pretty upset with me but in the end when we couldn't agree we just dropped it and moved on.
I think the one thing most of us here don't tolerate is badmouthing us, our families, our countries or our faith.
I don't mind that you are of the same faith as myself but I don't hate you for it.
Try and be a little more tollerent of those of us that don't believe as you do and try and understand that some of us will never share your beliefs .
Do that and we should get along just fine.
By the way. What on 9/11 would make you turn to the beliefs you did? I would think it would have just the opposite effect on most people.

Allah is by no means the first person on these forums to say that people who disagreed with his opinion on the need for the war is a fool or idiot, just the first person from taking that side of the debate to say it.
Quite frankly I didn't find his initial post offensive, but thought provoking. After all if, as the leaders of the war keep telling us, this war is for the people of Iraq and it's neighbouring countries then Arab opinion is of vital importance both during the war but especially afterwards.
well this is probably the world's most debated subject at the time being. i'd just like to say that i don't believe in choosing either of these sides. i will not fight for bush and i will not fight for saddam and i will not die for bush and i will not die for saddam. i think that this war should not be going on because 1. bush really doesn't have to feel threatened by iraq, so what if they have a couple nuclear warheads and some chemical/biological weapon factories and even if saddam is insane. it's very likely nothing will happen, just like in the cold war, usa and russia had hundreds of nukes pointed at each other and after 10 years of tension nothing happened except a few submarines had been lost. 2. citizens of the united states may feel very threatened by the fact that saddam has nuclear weapons and chemical/biological weapons, however their unrest has caused this war to occur and now it is actually iraqi civilians who are much more threatened from all the bombs being dropped in iraq and from saddam's regime and very possibly his own sanity. finally, i think it would be beneficial to everyone in the world if bush stopped acting like such a hot shot and didn't try to fight wars to follow in the footsteps of his dad, to get oil, to disarm saddam even after saddam disarmed, or even if he genuinely wanted to stop a madman from doing something stupid. basically my message is (i think i've gone on long enough and this is hella boring for me to type and for you to read) war is a childish and useless aproach to any situation, it should be resovled more maturely. war is like little kids fighting in a kindergarden playground except they have weapons of mass destruction in their hands instead of slingshots. i thought the people running the nations were supposed to be grown ups. i hope i've worded this carefully enough so that no one in this thread has been offended by what i've said, because that's the last thing i want to do.
