Can you change to slicks if there are still slight rain drops falling?

The AI's pitted in the rain drops. I waited till next lap just to be sure.

I tried again, a lap ahead with rain still falling and didn't get tire change. Went back in next lap and this time they changed my tires. So probably not a good idea to pit to soon.

Here's my issue, pit stops. Only been running Pcars steady for a couple months.
I thought I had a problem with pit stops but wasn't real sure until a 30 lap league race in the rain, half rain half dry. When I go in for a tire change, it fills up my gas tank all the way, when I don't even need any. Worse is it does not change my tires, leaves me on the same ones.
I've tried several different cars and the same results. And many many laps.
So after trying everything and finding no answers online I decided to delete Pcars and start over. Downloaded update file 5 again and everything worked fine with default setup on or off. Also did not save any setup on cars.
Like I said everything worked fine, changed my tires and didn't give me any fuel. Fuel was default at 7.5L with 10 min qualifying and 59.7L for a 30 lap race.
After I started doing setups and pit strategy and saving, the bug came back. It would not change my tires from rain to slick, but it didn't fill my gas up this time. So I restarted and this time I got 90L for qualifying and 90L for the race (no matter how many laps I change to) I run the race and make my pit stop, didn't give me any fuel (cool). But it did not change my damn tires.
Guess what, I deleted again. Everything working good again, but as soon as I save a setup it changes the fuel load in default setup back to 90L for a 10 min qualifying and 90L for any number lap race. The main car I've been working with is the Mercedes 190E TC2, if it matters. Like I've said, I have tried different cars with the same results.
Any links info on this would be greatly appreciated. I've spent plenty of money based around this game, and after the first month trying to figure calibrations for my T500. This game is beginning to be a pain and a waste of money.
Actually I'm beginning to think most F1 codemasters PS3 games have better physics.

Yes because of the restrictive menu options to enforce the default setups there are more problems popping up on a just recently fixed pitting system

I ran a league race last night with the Quebec online racing league. We did 30 laps at Bugatti with lmp2 cars. On lap 15 I pitted and used default pit strategy and I did not get a new set of tires. After all the testing I did and I thought I had it figured out. But something is still wrong. I think 3 of us didn't get fresh tires out of 10 racers. We were using setups. I tested the Merc a million times with no setups saved and pit stops worked. I'm just getting so confused with this game.

Can you explain. I'm in North Carolina, internet is just fine, I run in GT6 SNAIL spec racing and I'm usually not the guy that can't see people,, if there's 11 people in the room, I see 11 people no matter where on the planet they are at.
Curious what internet has to do with tire changes? And yes I've been in rooms on Pcars were I see red connections, yellow, and green. All in the same room. Been in rooms were all connections are green.
Still please explain, I'm willing to listen to about anything now.

I think another one had the same problem during the race. You must choose the correct pit strategy when you enter in the pit lane I guess.


Yeah like David said, it's important to have the right strategy amd to close the pit box asap. I've heard a lot about pit bug in PCars (PC, PS4 or XB1). I've never had any issue with it, but I always setup my strategy in the warmup and close by pitbox quickly.

wthis game is crap. I run in another league on tuesday. I've deleted this game 3 times, working on the pit stop bug. i've ran about 50 test races. because in a tuesday race, it was 30 laps, from rain to dry and i went to pit and all the pits did was fill my tank all the way up with unnecessary fuel, and then didn't change my tires from rain to slicks. I've learned to just use default pit strategy. but it didn't work last night. And yes I close the pit box as soon as i can. 90%of my game play has been testing this pit stop bug and i'm pretty sick of it now. I know for sure, that if a race is run with default setup on, then it ruins its original default setup fuel load values. only if a person has a setup saved for that car and track. Like i said, I've done a lot of testing and this game is screwed up



after update 52 this game will be good

I will change the weather for the next rain/dry race at the end of the season. Until then no one should need to pit.

as for me, I'm still on the fence with pCARs right now but will complete the season as the series director. I'm just not enjoying the game right now.
