Won't be racing this week. In I'm moving to a new place and won't be able to race until I get my affairs in order. Hopefully I'll be ready to go for next Tuesday. Really psyched for the new car!

I got home late last night but managed to do some practice laps in the dry to learn the tracks a bit. As simple as Donington is as a layout it sure was hard to learn...weird. Silverstone was a bit more fun.

I forget my times...like 1:12s on Donington I think. Totally forget the other times....does just under a minute sound right for Silverstone?

Cardahs and I practiced at Silverstone a bit the other day. We both managed 1:03 in the wet, but that's hot lap, and probably not a realistic race pace. I was too aggravated with the fog at Donnington to get comfortable, even though I'm mildly familiar with the track from a previous race we did there some time back

Ok...I didn't have time to practice in the wet or fog etc but at least I know I was in the ballpark. Just wanted to at least learn the tracks before going out tonight.

I've been all over the net looking for a reason why my tires don't change and my gas tank gets filled all the way up when I make a pit stop during a rain race. Haven't found a reason yet, but did find that I'm not the only one with this issue.
I have set up a solo race exactly like the league race at Silverstone and everything worked fine. It changed tires from group-A rain, to group-A slick medium, and no waiting for fuel tank to fill up. Yes my settings for tire compound is set to Automatic by weather.
Then I setup a race online just like the league race and did my pit stop, same crap no tire change and sat there waiting for my gas tank to get filled up. I'll keep looking, but it's screwed up. Can't find anything in game to fix it.

well that's no good, kinda puts a damper on competition when weather is involved

I'm seriously at the point to scrap this. Between the f-Ing bugs and now having braking issues, its no longer enjoyable for me. The game has sooooo much potential but it seems there is a new issue each week and I'm getting frustrated.

Missed the first race, was thankful for the invite to the 2nd race (Thanks Grim). Had a blast racing until my brakes went to crap for the last 4 laps or so. Looking forward to next week

The only problem I had was on the 2nd race pit. I was in 2nd by a wide margin, I pit on lap 15 and it did not change my tires but I assume it gave me more gas. But I sat there awhile only to be on the same old wet worn out tires. So I did another lap and pit again and it gave me new tires.

This is probably more due to my ignorance of when to pit than anything but it was frustrating to be able to possibly get a win to finishing at the back.

No brake issues. Not really sure what that problem is all about. My car ran just fine and it was a lot of fun being able to powerslide in the rain.

the braking issue for me is I'm either locking them up or not braking enough. Most of it is due to muscle memory but its beyond frustrating as I'm way off the pace.

Ah. I have ABS on so I guess I don't experience it quite like you guys might. Going from the DFGT to the G29 is a huge increase in pedal stiffness so I thought I should turn ABS on ;)

Eeeeeeasy my friend. I understand the frustration but unfortunately you built something way bigger than those bugs. This league is way too good to be defeated by some brit programming failures

I've deleted Pars, in order to start freaking over. So far so good with pit stops. Not done testing yet update later.
Does anyone remember how many laps was at Silverstone?

30

I did a pitstop at lap 15 and it did not change my tires. But it was also still barely raining at that time. So that may have been the problem. I probably should have waited another lap when it was full sun outside and then it would have changed my tires properly.

You might be right @JoeW. But I tried with several different cars at Silverstone and got the same results. A friend of mine was on with me testing pits, and his tires got changed every time, and it didn't make him sit in the pits waiting for the fuel to fill all the way up either.
So after a lot of wasted laps and no answers online, I decided to delete Pcars and start over. Well I guess it worked, cause no matter what car I use at Silverstone in the rain, I get new tires and don't have to wait for unnecessary fuel.
I do have one concern with fuel though. With a 10 min. qualifying I have 7.5L and a 30 lap race, fuel is 59.7L. Does that sound right?

Well grim. I don't think I will be able to run the series anymore. The amount of bugs I am reading you guys are having make me not want to attempt to play PCARS anymore. Plus all the news games that are coming out November.
