I'm aware of what's missing. Read the post and you'll see it says so. No way to go back and get it so oh well.

I have to go work but we'll handle everything as fast and best we can.

It really sucks that I work early the next day as I can't get on top of things right away. Please everyone be patient. All of the usual stuff that comes after our race night will be up by Friday the latest. That's the nature of us having real lives outside of this and it being more work than a casual series

You said race 2? Also who cares? Why are you putting so much effort into this? I’m pretty sure you’re the only one here who is stressing out about the results being uploaded right after the race is done.

I think most of us here understand that people have better things to do than dedicate time to managing hobby-related lists. You’re not a robot. As long as everything’s up to date before the next race it’s fine, and that’s a week away.

The lobby 2 races were fun. Lots of really good defensive driving. There was some contact here and there but not anything that I would be aggrieved about. I kind of expect it in spec racing. I commend everyone that was in the mid-pack battles. We were 4 to 5 cars deep at times and things went really well.

Now get those results tabulated and posted ASAP! What's the delay?!

i wont be able to take part in this series anymore as it clashes with 11th grade and another series in both lobbies, it was a pleasure racing with you guys and good luck to you all.
:D:tup:

Really who else runs on Tuesdays in the middle of the day? Just curious because its been my off day for a very long time and I've never seen anyone advertise it.

Racers Reunited who are the first/main group I raced with on GT6 until I started working a normal weekly schedule and couldn’t anymore have raced on Tuesdays at 8-8:30 UK time for like 3 or 4 years. But that’s just a small group and not a serious league. Otherwise though it does seem like 8 UK is the default time for European clubs, just Tuesday isn’t usually that popular of a day.

That makes since. In the past I wouldn't have looked for UK based leagues because it makes me feel like the lone outsider.

Official Race Report

Incidents:

Brands Hatch seemed to bring out the worst in everyone in Lobby #1
The list of reported racing complaints is long and very time consuming. We are still working on them in a timely manner. You will be notified if you have some involvement concerning the reported incidents.

There was a lot of unnecessary and unacceptable driving behavior from many of us..Me Included. Some of the penalties my seem harsh depending on your involvement but necessary depending on the severity of the offence. We do promote Clean Racing and we will do what's necessary to make that happen.

Brands Hatch is one of my least favorite tracks of all time. I think many might see why now. It's a very difficult track to make clean passes on when the cars are exactly all the same then add in a track that side by side racing is almost nonexistent and chaos is sure to follow.

The biggest issues I seen in reviewing the replays were people just trying to pass in places that were impossible to do cleanly and nobody wanted to give an inch or back off.
Another huge issue that needs to be addressed is the caution flag & cars that are out if control.
To many times people just ignored the caution flag or another car involved in a accident and it caused a mess in 5 separate occasions.
Everyone needs to respect the flags and back off and do not pass until clear. This is just a warning to everyone for now but we will be handing out penalties for this from now on.

As expected there are some growing pains to get through with every Brand New Series but everything will and is starting to improve

Rule modifications:

Anything other than lobby related issues is no longer permitted in the lobby chat. It is becoming a distraction for others and I've missed something important Information from all the chatter going on.
So if it's not important lobby related questions or answers then please keep the gossip to yourself until all 3 races have concluded.

Leaving your car on the track during the race:

First off I don't know why anyone would want to leave their car in the middle of the race track and possibly ruin the race for others but they did & it did.

Two people quit the race #3 after hitting the stuck car in the middle of the track. It absolutely ruined the race for 3 people who were all very upset and had every right to be.
If this happens again and I have to stop the race or quit the race to remove your car then you will not be returning to this Series. There is just no excuse for it.

Another car parked in the sand at turn one in race #3
While this might seem to be a minor issue compared to leaving it on the track its not.
If you decide not to continue with the race that's your choice but we will not tolerate anyone leaving their car parked around the track.
You have three choices
1. Park your car in the pits
2. Pull your car from the race the track altogether.
3. Leave the lobby

Stewart's:

I would like to Welcome Macboyilija as our full time 3rd steward. We can really use the extra help so things are finished in a timely manner. With 2:40 minutes of race footage to look through it gets to be very time consuming.

We are also considering a 4th steward preferably someone who races in Lobby #2
This way they can help Desertpenguin with all lobby #2 incidents and Macboyilija can help me with all of lobby #1 incidents only.

I think I have to remove myself from the Toyota series, I am struggling to find decent lap times and competitive speed using the automatic transmission. The manual also helps stabilize the car in some turns so I am finding it difficult to drive until I can get my wheel issues sorted out with Fanatec. I wish they would just send me a wheel base that works properly since they cant get it right and I will probably be without a wheel for a month again while it goes back for repairs.

All depends on the track. Automatics do very well at our next location because the whole track carries a lot of speed. Plus the amount of fuel you save running an automatic should work in your favor.

Automatics just struggle in naturally aspirated cars in general, for turbo cars it doesn’t make as much of a difference. The 86 is one of the worst since it makes no power at low revs.

Very true. I haven't seen anyone post a lap time but me for our next location. I would like to see how close we are in times.
1:42.138 is my fastest time.

Edit:
MissingBacon just posted his.

I race an Auto normally for race cars but for road cars I drive manual as most do accelerate slowly and I want to be quick :P

Someday I'll start racing all cars manual.

So the times you posted are they auto or manual?

By what you said I would guess manual but I just want to make sure.

Cool then my times are right on pace with yours. I've got a huge hurdle to overcome this Tuesday though. I'm just going to keep my nose clean and hope for a good finish.

I’m the same, only race the slower cars with manual, since I’m still a rookie when it comes to self-shifting. Can’t imagine racing Gr.1 with manual.

I think in all 5 races so far I’ve forgotten to shift out of 1st at the start and had no momentum into the first turn since I thought I was using auto.

Not sure about stability but I’ve noticed being able to downshift yourself into corners makes the front end a lot more eager to turn and you can enter corners faster. I think the instability is caused by the auto shifting mid-corner sometimes rather than on entry and exit like you can with manual.

Track Limits

I'm very surprised nobody has asked about the track limits for Autodrome Lago Maggiore West.
Since it has some of the deepest curbs in the game and it's famous for people using every inch of them too.

I will start off by saying the general rule is two tires on the track at all times and that's the rule we like to go by in this Series. You should always practice with this in mind.
However I'm going to open up one spot on this course so you can use the entire curb as the track. This will easily allow side by side racing and maybe even three wide racing through this fast corner.

I do not know the name of it since it's a fictional track but I call it the fish bowl. Below is a photo for reference.

You are expected to adhere to the two tire rule for the rest of this course.

Enjoy!
