too much wing will slow you down.
6th gear would be slightly better than 5th.
are you using nitrous? if so make sure it's nor set too high or too low.
keep the expensive turbo and racing suspention.
i set ride height to low in front and rear.
bound and rebound should be set in the middle.
personally i keep spring rates rather high.
-4 and -2 and
2.5 and 2.0
castor and camber seems to be stable at high speeds for me at least.
I usually set the LSD acceleration to maximum and leave the others alone.

* Maximum rear downforce is almost always beneficial
* Some cars fair better with less gears, but set more efficiently in the powerband
* Maximum nitrous output will give the best results (timing is the issue)
* Some cars fair better with a sports suspension
* High front ride high gives easier handling, and less drag
* Most cars fair better soft suspension, low bound/rebound/springrates
* Max torque & acceleration LSD settings have the best results

Research settings and adjust them to your driving style. That will help with any high speed tuning.

Welcome to all the new guys. 👍

As I said to I-Runner in a PM, I believe 390+ is possible, and I have ideas on how to achieve the speed. With my capture card out of action though, I'm unable to provide adequate proof until I get new equipment, which probably won't happen until January. In the meantime, I think I-Runner will overtake me, but I'm always up for the challenge. 👍
I know ;)

ironcurtin21507
is it only possible with the '98 Nissan 300 zx
Probably, and only just with that. It took Leonidae quite a long time to manage it, to say the least

I just have to ask, as with all new members, that you followed all of the rules outlined in Post #1, ironcurtin21507 - there's more to them than just the wheelie rule. Thanks.

Any one still trying the Saleen?

I have an idea.

"The Open Saleen Consortium"

So we can all compare and trade settings
and MAKE D@MN SURE IT GETS 300!
You will be put up against a wall and shot by Toronado for mentioning it, and shot several more times if someone else succeeds because of it :dopey: but by all means try :D

Nice work with the 7.3 Zonda, revenga, but for some reason your video isn't loading for me... :boggled: Is this just an issue at my end, or can you guys not see it either? I'm just getting a white box at the moment.

I made some weeks ago my best speeds with the kaira but .
i had some problems !

380.04mph ..i have the replay but i've lost the screenshot :ouch:
380.23mph .. i have the screenshot ..but i've toched the
wall at the end of the run
:banghead:

Yesterday i found my TEST save corrupted :indiff: :guilty:..
(In the corrupted save i had a ZZII capable of 381 mph :grumpy:)
so i take the old SAVE, on july i changed the Test Save,
the new one (CORRUPTED) was based on my 99.8% ...

At the end i repeated a right speed again,
the right setup was saved in my block notes :dopey:

Tommy kaira ZZII 380.16 mph

I could go faster but i already know that MS can do the same 👍 ..more !

**NOTE
the video on YouTube is different from the dowloaded version.

Nice work with the ZZII I-R! 👍

Shame about the 380.23 run but at least you know you've still got the capacity for it in your setup.

Keep up the good work (that also goes to MS), and looking forward to seeing a 390mph+ run

Also congrats to all the other new speeds 👍

ironcurtin21507, that R92CP photo is really pushing the boundaries of the acceptable, but I can just read it  so, nice work, and I hope you can improve in both of the cars you've got so far - welcome to the Club :)

revenga, your 88C-V video looks perfectly legitimate, and I trust it's been checked by I-Runner as well? If not, I'll wait and see if any of the other guys can spot problems with it. It looks fine to me, as I say, but I like to leave it open for a while, so other people can check the video too and voice any issues. 👍
Nice work with the two Skylines, too - and the MNPII speed nicks the only 'minor' record I had left

I-Runner, the same goes for your ZZ-II video - I've taken a close look at it, and there's no doubt that all four wheels are on the ground - not least because you'd stand no chance of doing that speed in a ZZ-II without all of the wheels down - but again I'll leave it for anyone else to comment before putting it on the Leaderboard. Excellent achievement!

Congratulations to all the new members and speeds - especially I-Runner for the 380+ and Revenga for the Toyota. 👍

It's nice to see all the activity

Haven't tried for a new speed in a quite a while - I know I can't respond with the GT One and despite a few nights of effort the Skyline and ZZ1 trick proves to be elusive

I-R and MS - have either one of you considered going after the NN record? If you can beat by GT One with nitrous I'd think you should be able to do the same without

Oh, and a belated Happy B-Day, DE  (How many is it?)

I ran a 328.xx non-nitrous back when I first took the overall record, with only half an hour or less of tweaking. Given the tweaks I've done since then along with some proper time spent fine tuning the car, I'm pretty confident that I can take the record. The main problem is that I don't currently have video capture ability. :nervous:

I completely forgot that you had the NN record, not to many people go after it...

Nice work in the GT-R32, revenga! Interesting that nobody else has tried a Nissan-spec R32 before... *stares pointedly at two Finns* ;)

That video removes my doubts about revenga's 357.10mph run, too, so that can go up as well - and, as nobody else has come up with comments against your 380.16mph run, I-Runner, I guess we're clear with that one too :)

Well done, both of you 👍 - and, revenga, you're proving to be a pretty effective new tuner!

Congrats and welcome Revenga and congrats to you I-Runner on the 380+ run, how you two(I-R & MS) accomplish these feats is still a little beyond me. . .I'm on my 5th or sixth zzII now.

I'll should have some new speeds up within the week or so.

You know, that R32 was even more resistant to my best efforts than 300ZX twinturbo.. mostly because it has aerodynamics of an umbrella..:ouch: I think I stopped trying after getting stuck at 298.xxx mph for half a year, destroying dozens of 6.2 mile R32's at the process.. :indiff:

Thanks Vander & crimson_menace 👍

The Audi R8 isn't a bad car for 300+ cruising.
Here's a video I posted on youtube of my run.
