Hi Rat TA22. Although this is, as the title suggests :P the thread for 300mph-plus speeds, I suppose he can host your little challenge here :sly: Can you get the cycle of appearances for the car?

Sorry about the wrong thread. I couldn't find one for just Top Speed. (if there is one, give me a link and I'll repost there) I'll work on the cycle for it. I just started my fourth time through the game (My abilities hit a wall at about 90% complete).
 
According to the Used Car database, the Celica 1600GT is available 6 times per 100 week cycle. It is always at or near the top of the Historic Showroom.

1st in week 65 (beginning on day 455)
2nd in week 75 (beginning on day 525)
3rd in week 86 (beginning on day 602)
4th in week 88 (beginning on day 616)
5th in week 89 (beginning on day 623)
6th in week 91 (beginning on day 637)

I'll confirm these as I go through the game.

A little time ago,, a week or two,, my eye fell on this HUGE thread because of the title 300MPH club:tup: I'm a great fan of speeds so I immediatly started trying too break the barrier with the Audi R8.. It was harder than I thought,, but after a lot of tries I managed to top around 312MPH (pic of proof will be posted soon) So I started trying with another car: The BMW V12 Lm Race car,, I changed the setup and started driving with loads of confidence,, and with my first run I already topped 293 MPH,, So I changed the setup a little and topped 298MPH,, and now I just can't get higher,, cause when I drive with my BMW and a lot of other cars who are supposed to manage 300MPH,, the car just starts bounce a tiny bit,, just like the RPM is doubting to go further,, and I just can't reach the 300MPH.. Very frustrating:( Now I'm asking you pro's if you can help me and give me tips or something about the right suspension setting:).

As for the BMW V12 LMR, I haven't tried it myself - actually, I've never driven one - but just for calling me a 'pro', post up your suspension settings and I'll try and help you out :) 👍

Guess I may as well make this my first post. Hi. :D Made the 300 jump a while back, using a supercharged TVR Cerbera Spd 12. More of an accomplisment because it's not a purpose-built racecar? :D

Sound like you hit wind barrier or something :). Ever try different ride height combination? maybe high front and low rear ride height?

I'm gonna try my NSX, and then try to buy an R8. I'll also try to mess with my ride height like the above poster said, I've been slamming it to the ground. I think I need a new Toyota, impossible to pass 320 now.:grumpy:

I held the LMR record for a day or so till team666 beat me by around 1 mph. I might get into trying it again:crazy:
 
I was just trying in the Toyota GTone too. Since it's got almost 370 on the leaderboard, I wanted to see what I could do. I managed a 341 before I hit the wall (so to speak). The strange thing is, I wasn't going for anything official... I was trying to do the wheely trick. It just wouldn't do it!

Hey guys, I'm new to the thread and I'm so jealous that you guys have reached the 300+ mark and I haven't, so I started racing my supra RZ, (even though I know I can make it with my group C cars) and I have only gotten to 290 MPH and I'm dying to get to 300 on that car...My gear ratio is set at 23 and the final ratio I set it at 2.500.

Suspension is ok, ride height is the lowest possible (72) and stabilizers at 4 both sides...Nitro is all the way to the right and TCS is at 1. R3 tires and with the original turbo kit.

ANY help is deeply appreciated guys, I know I can count on you 👍

Jack up the front and lower the rear. Softest suspension possible. Add wings and max out downforce in the rear and loose it alltogether in the front! Sounds wrong, but you will not wheelie, and you will be very fast!

Rat TA22, that's sailing close to 350mph there! Keep on pushing! :) And I see your TA22 has broken 200mph, congrats!

Did you give it an oil change? My 2,500-mile R8 will still do 351 :dopey:

If anyone is after 300mph in a Supra, talk to Leo or Oz 👍 :D
