I cant wait to see it and reviews to see if its actually 'Better'. If its the end all be all of setups at the $500 or less price point I may upgrade. But its going to have to do something stellar to get me to drop my GT3RS and clubsport pedals.

Note: in Japan the Logitech G27 has got a retail price of about 450$.
The new Thrustmaster T500RS might be priced accordingly for the japanese market.
It will probably be less expensive for the western one if it is to compete with the G27.

Also, if its an official 'GT5' wheel...what would that mean for compatability with other games/systems?

GT5 is a far cry from being good enough to justify spending $500 on anything soley for GT5 use.

I didn't mean 'it will be better', I meant like its supposed to be better (Kaz wants to beat the G27/Fanatec). My bad.

no sweat. at any rate, it would appear it will be in the $300-$500 range somewhere. One would have to assume its at least on par and comparable to the logitchs and fanatecs.

I have a fanatec on order, so won't be purchasing this wheel. But the idea of having more competition in the wheel sim market at these price points will be a big win for all of us, regardless of your prefered brand. The end results should be improved products at lower price points.

I got a DFGT with my copy of GT5 on launch day. I had to trade in every other single game i owned to get them (except F1 2010). So i am hoping this is gonna be out of my price range so i don't feel the need to get one. Anyway, i think the DFGT is the perfect wheel for GT5.

Even if I did not have my GT3RS wheel and clubsport pedals I would not consider the new thrustmaster wheel. The GT3RS w/ ClubSport costs $350 shipped while this new wheel is rumored to cost $500 and that is not even including a $100 H-gate shifter. For me that is just too much and I'd rather have the fanatec since they now ship the two shifters(seems like the shifters are only included for the US) with it too.

It is not looking too bad so far. The pedals actually look descent. If they can get a solid Hshift out it could be awesome.

Seeing the images, we can take the some conclusions:

· Is the first wheel in the market with the paddel shifters fixed to the base (not to the wheel, as the rest). I think this is great.

· Cluch and gas pedals must have the same touch and strenght, if it can be pull down changing only the pedal plates.

It does indeed look very promising and I can't wait for first reviews. I somehow doubt all pedals have the same resistance, because that would be a really stupid engineering decision for such a high end product. Let's wait and see how it compares.

Paddles attached to the base is pretty cool. Not sure about those pedals, they disguise the mechanism in those shots so I would bet against a load cell.

It's missing the most important wheel switch like the one on the GT wheel. I'm surprised they left that out or are they selling that as a separate accessory too? I need to be able to adjust the brake bias and other components of the car on the fly.

Someone said the wheel might be removable.

Looking closer at the pedals the arms look to be made of injection molded plastic. edit//Maybe they just look plastic they weigh more than fanatec clubsports. But those are aluminum.
Now the g25/g27 were metal so more evidence against load cell imho. Is this going to be like fanatec with standard pedals and clubsports?

If these pedals have a pressure sensor or a load cell sensor, I'm going to sell my G27. I was planning on getting the APelectrix but I'm going to wait until this wheel is released. $500? If this is true, than a load cell or pressure sensor could be a standard feature.

It seems that this wheel has 1080° rotation from lock to lock.

Also, from bigger photos it looks that paddle shifters do not rotate with the wheel.
That alone would be a huge plus over most other wheel/pedal sets.

Wow, Im not sure what to make of that. If those are accurate I doubt this setup would work for me. The wheel base looks huge and wouldnt work well with my rig and unless the pedal base can be stripped down and inverted those wont work either. Oh well, I still cant wait to see reviews. If they are stellar I may have to make some(quite possibly major) adjustments.

These are looking very promising. I don't have a problem with pricing either, as there are already great products at the several great wheels for GT5 ranging from $100-$350. The great unknown to me is the pedals. I really hope they offer a load cell or hydraulic brake. I also wish the wheel rim was a little bigger. Though 30cm is pretty good; It's the same as the Fanatec. 1080 degree steering is fantastic for production cars. 2.7-3.0 turns lock to lock is pretty common in street cars. 900 degree steering was a tad quick for many cars, but a good compromise.

Here's one for you: Is a Fanatec wheel mechanically limited to 900 degrees, or is it the limit simply created by motor resistance? Could they upgrade to 1080 degree support via firmware?

I'm still sticking with my DFP. This is too expensive, and I'll wait for the G25/G27 to get a little bit getter support before I consider upgrading.

The wheel lopks awesome...... the pedals, not so. I have used a Thrustmaster wheel and the pedals look like it, with metal faces and a clutch, like the RGT's.
(Isn't the most pretty thing!)
I'll look into it.

Some things concern me here. Heel/toe when set up inverted looks like it would be awkward at best, for instance.

Anyway, cool idea. Interested in seeing how it compares when somebody gets their hands on one
