The GEAR JOLT option seems to be the 1st part of "Harmony" high frequency feature available on the T598.

I thought gearjolt was build in the base. .

Hard to make a choice of hardware when the ffb in GT7 isn’t the best at the moment.
Only drive GT7 on PS5 :/

Was planning to buy a GT Pro 8nm bundle, people said it was missing ffb on straights.

Waited for this T598, people are complaining that it lacks strength and they feel no ffb.

Starting to look at the Logitech Pro which is way out of my initial budget, nearly convinced myself to take the plunge.
Then i read that much of the True Force was removed…

Started looking at the GT Extreme, read that FullForce isn’t implemented.

I now have doubled my initial budget and even then it feels impossible to make a decision based on peoples comments. A year from now i will probably still be sitting with my old G29.
It is a total minefield. Reviews are all over the place. I was sold on the T598 but implementation on PS5 not being as good as PC is a major downer. I agree Logitech is looking best but with pedals so expensive although im only just hearing True Force has been removed :embarrassed: Why would they do that? Just checked out the GT Extreme - Wow looks and sounds awesome but £1299 without pedals. Wife would divorce me.

Figuring out what to upgrade from the T300 without breaking the bank goes on.

A used t-gt is a good upgrade from t300. Doesnt brake the bank and works great in GT while you wait for the PS DD -market to settle . Doesnt even matter if you buy T-GT or T-GT 2 - no noticeable difference I've been told.

I'm interested in the T598, but only if the end up selling it as a base alone, I've already got load-cell pedals and enough rims that can be adapted.

What does TrueForce even do? If you had a blind driving test, could you even tell if it was on or not? It seems like massive marketing mumbo jumbo.

GEAR JOLT is functional with the THRUSTMASTER SDK (like the SCREEN TELEMETRY) and must be implemented by each Game Developers to works.

SimHub provides the best way to tailor any sort of gear change effects.... no need for some pretuned and unchangeable canned effect. And this way you can have it felt in your butt kicker.

For the short time I had a G923 to try, it felt like someone was drilling the steering shaft and trying to imitate engine vibrations for example. Noticable? Yes. Desirable? Not necessarily.

It seems they're targeting entry level users, like me
I'm considering to switch to this (but for base only) and keep using old T3PA and maybe the T300 rim. Is it possible?
T-GT is out of question, buying it = buying 2 T300, even on secondhand market still 1.5 T300 and harder to get too

I dunno about the pedals, but the T300 rim won't work on the T598 as far as I know cuz I didn't see it on the list for the quick-release adaptor.

Which is weird, as at least two of the rims I use with my T300 are shown as being compatible in the diagram and list on the upgrade page (the 599 rim and the open rim).

I guess they are the same as T-GT rim - the quick release can not be installed to the rim but one can use the separate adapter? Atleast with t-gt the reason seems to be in the construction of the wheel that doesnt allow the change of just the connector.

Hey guys, I am looking for some help understanding FFB settings. I got the T598 and day 1 I basically just assembled and played for an hour on default settings. Toward the end I turned up ffb torque and sensitivity in GT7 to 10 and that made the wheel feel pretty good.

Yesterday I spent more time testing things out and used TM’s recommended settings for GT7. I keep running into an issue where the FFB sorta “disappears” when it would otherwise be there in the default setting. The wheel makes a specific noise when this happens and it seems by design. Which setting would cause this and how should I tune it?

The other issue I would like to try to address is the wheel shake when I am not touching wheel and also not racing (in menus). I also feel like there is too much shake on straights. Is there a way to tune this?

I’m including TM’s recommended settings for reference
