Thursday Fun Night (Re-named)

I won’t make it. Gone all evening. Shame. Was looking forward to rubbing up to @GTP_ADE again.

No time limit on this event Bo, well within reason.
You can always run three laps of the same combo and PM your fast lap to me for the ROC, that covers this round.

The event then will mostly be on the TFN night, but members can always contact who they are paired with say (Cobani vs GTP_Ade) if they can't make a TFN night. Arrange a meet run their knockout and post the results in the thread.

I'm trying to make it as easy as possible for everyone to get involved, knowing that personal lives can always make it hard to do so at times.

I thought of the event this way so that we can have some fun racing on the night, plus a bit of competitive racing as well, making for good variety.

If you can't make it Thursday, you can run your Qualifying times using the same track car combo and post results in the thread. I would suggest open a private lobby and do it, as running in TT mode may give you a different time and end up not being paired with the right combatant.

Preliminary pairings you can see in the spreadsheet here, these may change if we get more guys submitting quali times for this first round.

If you think I've made a bobo in the pairings please leave a comment here with the spreadsheet (prefered ) or in the thread, but that may get lost in the posts. With the Sheet, it won't.

Edit: A little insight.

In the spreadsheet you see there are now 2 rounds which are pre ko rounds (you don't get knocked out) these rounds you race the same guy (Combatant) in both rounds. You will be using a different car/track in these, again best time to do these is on a TFN night.

If you can't make TFN (which the room is open for about 4 to 5 hours) then you can arrange your own time and day, then post results in the thread.

Now you've got the two pre ko round out the way, comes the first knockout round (one goes forward/ one goes out) we can try to pick up the losers in the same way 3rd and 4th play off's (So everyone carries on in the event) but I would need help with that, as it becomes a lot of work.

I hope I've explained how the event unfolds and it's easy to follow.

Considering some of us have been drawn against "aliens" in our first knock out rounds of the ROC, I have decided, with Phillip's blessing, to run a separate ladder for 3rd and 4th as well.

Helps to keep it all in one place for our TFN members. If your happy with that and it works with what you have planned, you can delete any brackets you don't need or just blank them out.

For your enjoyment, I've added the Full custom gearbox. 174mph / 280kph I think it is. Tyres Sport hard.
All other settings default.

Seems to put the gear changing in a better place and cuts out that long delay between changes.

If we have members there that are in the pairings of the first pre ko round and they would like to run their head to head race, members agreement, of course, would be a good time to get things underway

If you all agree I was considering 4 laps for the first round. 5 laps for the second round, adding one lap to each of the rounds so as not to make them to long. Whatever you guys want.

Not a lot to say about this combo, just a few short sprint races, one or two head to head races. A main race with tyre change if you wish, a short look at the next combo on the menu for those that don't get time outside our TFN.

Hope that enough, all this typing plays havoc with my play time.

Glad to hear it, Antony, I'm not very good at this IT stuff. I think I've made it so anyone can view it and make changes if you can't let me know and we'll try to change the settings, but it confuses me.

I've had feedback with regards this combo, I know it's late but some members have not had time to test it out. It is a bit of an acquired taste, in other words, a right son of a 🤬 if in the interests of a fun night for all. You can if you wish for the head to head race, run the Alfa 4C Gr4 which we used for the Qualifying.

These pre ko rounds are only fun and give everyone a chance of running head to head if they haven't before, but we still want it to be fun and enjoyable.

So it's up to each pairing tonight which combo they would like to use, and we should still have a great night.

We've had some good combo's over the past 12 weeks or so, let's face it, at some point we are going to get to the bottom of the barrel

I like it, better no, but at least they know what's in the package after the qualifying.

I think we have a good mix of Italian, Japanese, French, German, American cars on different compounds just got the last combo to work out yet. British I'm thinking but that only leaves us with TVR

But this would be good for the Final Designed by Ferdinand Porsche no less
