For your enjoyment, I've added the Full custom gearbox. 174mph / 280kph I think it is. Tyres Sport hard.
All other settings default.

Seems to put the gear changing in a better place and cuts out that long delay between changes.

If we have members there that are in the pairings of the first pre ko round and they would like to run their head to head race, members agreement, of course, would be a good time to get things underway

If you all agree I was considering 4 laps for the first round. 5 laps for the second round, adding one lap to each of the rounds so as not to make them to long. Whatever you guys want.

Not a lot to say about this combo, just a few short sprint races, one or two head to head races. A main race with tyre change if you wish, a short look at the next combo on the menu for those that don't get time outside our TFN.

Hope that enough, all this typing plays havoc with my play time.

Hmm. So I took the trouble to run some laps. I also posted that I would attend tonight. I do have limited time on GT due to other commitments. Not sure what happened but I couldnt find the room but did find out it was on a rally track in a Renault. This must have been decided at the last minute as I posted in the thread an hour before I came on and there was no mention of this, only about running in the Alfa. Sorry if this sounds a bit rude chaps but my time on GT is limited and I would rather run what is advertised.

Due to this I would like to be removed from the ROC.

Cheers

Ade.

You aren't the only one. I thort the same with the Alfa. So practiced with the alfa the day before with only time I had then. Find out it's a r32 on a track i keep away from.

Phillip, very sorry if you feel the following is inappropriate, I will take it down if so but I have to chime in on this.

Thursday night "FUN". The name says it all !!! This is not a group for "series races" and points battles. If you take the time to read and digest the thread you should pick up on this.
This is a "check your attitude at the door" group of gentleman racers who attend for 1 reason, to have fun!

Phillip spends a great deal of time coming up with out of the mainstream combos that are always quite enjoyable and provide unique challenges and loads of fun. You never now what's coming next so practicing all week is futile particularly since there all no tune for the most part. Again the priority is to have FUN !!!

Hope people looking to join read this. Might save them some time and aggravation.

Take mine down as you please. I was just asking honest questions as i did ask if the first roc race was a Alfa and i was told yes. So you can see why i felt a bit baffled by using a different car hence why asked in lobby. Maybe if it's not taking serious keep the cars as a surprise for both drivers. Then it would not of been practiced in before hand.

I don't take it serious either as most races if you watch me i will give places up as i prefer close racing over winning.
I honestly don't feel welcome when joining in. Every time i join. There mite be one hello and zero when the lobby closes so you can see why i get a bit rattled.

Anyways yesterday had been a very long day for me. Sorry if it's caused any trouble Phillip.

I've said it many times before Scott tfn is our group, not mine or any other single member. We all work at it and we all get enjoyment out of it, the forum (gtp) if open and free for anyone to say and post what is on their minds, if one goes beyond that I'm sure Admin will soon say something. Done.

Joe that's GMT that would make it 11pm for me on British summer time so I may be well out of it by then. Thursday 8am till 5pm I spent trying to sort the final on and off through the day. Gtfn night room open for 5 hour by one of us or another. If I can make it later I will, but I could well be in bed about 8 to 9 pm

With regards to how TFN runs on the night I did say many time that it's a normal members night, as we say FUN, it will proceed as normal unless we all agree on the night there's to be a change.

With regards to ROC it was pointed out that, if you join tfn and whoever you are paired with is there, you can if you wish run your head to head so long as all other members agree you can have the track, for your race. Failing that you can always make your own arrangements and post the results.

Point in question, Scott and Matt were asked if they would like the track for their race. Reply, no we'll hang on a couple of weeks, that's fine it's not compulsory.

:D:D This is how I woke up this morning, I know the server was a right pain last night but it was a good fun night. Watching the head to head races was entertaining, Mike was right on the money, at this standard 3 laps is more than enough, so I'll change that in the upcoming roc events. gives us more time for fun.

Fwiw, it was all pretty clear to me.

As Stig said, close fun racing is the ideal.
Also, apologies to you Stig. You're always welcome to us. You're fast, fair and love a good dust up.
I think a headset would show you how much we appreciate your presence if you can get ahold of one.

I didn't practice in the R32 beforehand. I got dropped in the deep end by Herr Larry, did a race and then went H2H with Wookie. I didn't practice in the Alfa for the qually either.
I'm all for a relaxed and fun ROC.

Winning is great, rubbing is great, messing up is part and parcel of it and I admit I do it more than most.

The format suits me and I love being a part of it.
Thanks for putting up with me guys!

Andy, we were talking about you last night before you came in. I said, I don't think Andy knows just how much he's missed when your not there, you can just imagine what the others said :lol::lol:

I told Chris you were coming on about 10pm (11pm his time) for the head to head he said he didn't mind waiting, top man, that sportsmanship for you.

The thing with the reverse on the grid start.

I was on as I do checking that all will go well, RomBloke joined me and I gave him a couple of races. One race he did the same, went in reverse off the grid. mistake or yet another game bug mmmmmm we'll have to watch that. Next time if it does, maybe we ease off get side by side ish then go again, or just restart.

Thanks all for yet another great night, hope the server is kinder to us next time.

In retrospect, I should have waited for him. Was hoping it could have been restarted or something come over the txt chat to confirm.
It would have been a very close race, different lines and slipstream would make it very entertaining!

That Corvette is lovely until it isn't! :dunce:

Now I liked the Megane, who can honestly say hand on heart that the Megane is better and more entertaining on sport hard default tyres on tarmac than it was how we used it in the dirty stuff.

Brilliant, just the instant unprovoked comments told me everything I was hoping for, as soon as the grid showed up on screen.

Even a head to head battle would be just as good.

This is a great watch.

For your enjoyment, I've also shared a couple of videos on PSN

The reason for the car confusion is some drivers joined after the initial pairing took place. So the option to use either car was put in place for those who missed out on initial pairing.

Now we're past that. Each ROC will be with the car and track we use in that weeks GTfn event as listed in OP. Both drivers in same car.

As for not feeling welcome, this is the friendliest and most welcoming group I've ever taken part in. With arthritis I'm no good at text chat. As @Renrag39 said a headset would be most useful as this is where most of the communication takes place. You would then get to see just how welcome you are. And I guarantee you will leave with your sides hurting from so much laughing.

This event is our normal Thursday fun night + ROC round 2 plus round 1. if you manage to join us and you were unable to make round 1 pre ko round if members agree you may have the track for your head to head race, as per last weeks OP.

If it so happens members are here ready for round 2 pre ko, again members agree, they can if they wish do round 2 pre ko. Or we can just carry on with gtfn dirt racing, practise and testing as normal.

I hope this event still gives you the fun it did in testing last week, lots of laughs and not the problems with server we had.

I do have a headset just not sure if I've ever been asked before plus I normally run surround sound for the emerse feeling plus my inducer tells me when there's a car along side me to make room rather than slamming the door shut. But I'll give it a shot.
I know tfn is all about the fun side but when asked to do the roc with qually i took the impression it was more of a competion side against an equal driver. So hence my appeal.
Me personally enjoyed the vette race and think it's only fair a fast driver runs a power cut and weight ballast as i felt in a fair race and helped keep the slower driver in the mix.
As the Porsche 911 i pulled over every lap nearly to let someone catch up to me. Until I got giving a gt3 car then that was my destress toy as that's what my wheel is setup for. That last lap i was just starting to get into a rhythm.

Saturday Fun Race
7pm gmt
Fuji- Ford Focus grB.

3 laps/3 laps/ 5lap
Qauli-1 our lap, one qualifying.
602hp- weight stock
Must run on Drift settings
Tire-tbd

This is just a FUN race if anyone wants to come out and slide around. Relaxed track boundaries. No cutting corners but with plenty of run off room, you can swing wide. This idea is designed for sliding and close quarters cornering. Bumping into each other is expected. Just don’t try to take each other out. If you show up and your only goal is to win the race, you’re probably there for the wrong reason. Hope to see you there.

Had a couple of hours last night racing and testing some ideas with Andy (Renrag39) We looked at F1500 at Red Bull track, Abarth 1500 Tokyo, Mclaren F1 South inner loop, this will more than likely be the Final combo for ROC. Plus ideas of an Indy car night.

Oh yes and a dummy run @ Colorado in the Megane, watch the Video below good entertainment.

And a few pictures of me trying to go sideways  and playing around with photo manipulation :grumpy:

I should be there around 8:30 gmt if all goes well.

Joe if Javier comes this week and we have any issues with connecting to one another, may pay for you both to make a private room and run your two pre ko rounds.

Come to think of it, that would be the answer for any pairings if we have trouble again like last week.
We could save the replay, one or both. Then share it on PSN and we can all watch it anytime. 👍

Good idea. However, I think I know the outcome lol.
