Yes Chris, that doesn't mean that only those can take part, it's still open to everyone. If one thinks they can better the top three, by all means have a go if you have time.

Most should be on some sort of handicap after a few races anyway.

Two options.

1: I've been way to busy for computer work or.
2; This old codger is just crap.

Your in Jamie, well in our thoughts anyway at some point I'll get round to updating our list..

Good time Chris, I'll update list. Looks like you'll be on plus 15% weight for race one.

@Trick_13
Bring your sense of humour, vaseline, beer, gimp mask and aspirin. You'll fit right in!
And practice saying sorry with sincerity. It's our catchphrase. Well, it is when I'm there!

Will unfortunately miss this week. Sister is graduating as a Physiotherapist.
Posh name for a Sadist innit!? :D

Don't mention the gr.4! :banghead:

I’ve certainly got 4 out of 5 items, just need to buy some aspirin!
“Sorry” for the extremely late reply, I hope that sounded as sincere as it was meant to sound.
Unfortunately I couldn’t join last week and won’t be able to join tonight.
Hope to see’s you all on track soon though, have a good nights racing everyone.

Scott advertising the average age of us old farts

And there is always one (go on click the link)

Pump up the volume, get the tissues out, not a dry eye in the house.

Now for just a short recap.

We've tried Full draft and full boost, now we tried out the idea of a handicap. Looking at this short replay it did help to keep the pack tight without the unpredictable supprises that Full Boost brings.

I was also amazed at how many time places changed, I ran out of fingers and toes trying to keep track.

I agree Andy 9 races was long in one car, but I was trying to see if new tracks (3 different) and 3 compounds made any difference to a tight group. As it was apart from Larry just going off on one and making up his own track layouts at Streets. I thought the concept worked well, so to add it to other events, but not so many races in one car next time.

I thought it’s about time we had a serious race night.

August 1st @ 19:00

With the success of the handicap event in the most part, I’ve made a slight change to the 24hr Porsche RSR @ Mount Panorama, race night.

Porsche 911 RSR @ Mount Panorama.
Three Races.

6 Laps 7 laps 8 laps races. Race 3 may need a little fuel saving.

Tire wear 25x and fuel 9x

Power 100% and Weight 95% is the default setting

Tire compounds start on RH then RS then RM. Race times will be 16.30 / 18:15 / 05:30

We know that this track can get strung out very easy and very quick, in the interest of keeping it fun and a tight pack, not using the boost (too many surprises) I’ve put in the handicap rule for top three.

Added weight handicap 1st 9% / 2nd 6% / 3rd 3%

In testing, it didn’t make much difference on the lap but did make a difference in acceleration out of corners and the uphill section.

Qualification times. Racing hard Tyres. Default Power 100% / Weight 95%

Argon56 : .. 2:03. 531
Jamie: ........ 2.04.084
BassAddict: 2:05.175
Dranddad: .. 2:05.699
Mikey: ......... 2:06.015

Fastest quali starts on Power 100% Weight 104 / +9%
Second quali starts on Power 100% Weight 101 / +6%
Third -- quali starts on Power 100% Weight 98 / +3%

Finish in the top three you don't add any weight. Outside top three deduct 2%

Everyone else Starts on Power100% Weight 95%

20190802135542.jpg

N400 Night in Tokyo. Grab your favorite N400 car and make ANY change you want...set it up to your liking. Now head out to Tokyo Expressway: South Outer Loop and run test laps to meet a target time of 1:49.000 +/- .002 online or 1:47.000 +/- .002 offline. You are looking for a comfortable race pace style of driving giving you 1:49.000 to 1:47.000 lap times depending where you test your car. 👍

When you are good to go, post your car in the thread so we can get a good mixture of different cars on the grid. These will be short 10 - 15 minute races with no boost, tire wear or fuel settings. Tune up several cars to switch it up between races...:)

Bassaddition: Audi R8 4.2 '07
Argon56: Toyota SF-R
oldguy58: Porsche 911 GT3 (997) `09
MikeyLCR: M3 2007 coupe

@Bass Addict - sweet!

I assume you mean that we should obtain that time in off-line mode? Might stick with one car if that's OK?

Argon56: Toyota SF-R

Thanks Mike! :)

I did it, along with Phillip, in an online lobby...I will double check off-line to see what the difference is and report back. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. 👍
