Then to the big boys, practise for a round in our race series.

Threaded the needle at 232 mph, which ended badly.


Looking forward to our mini-series, which I think will start in the new year (January) due to the holiday season is upon us now.

Christmas break.

I'm not planing on anything for the next two tfn nights as I don't know much about plans of what family are coming or when. If I'm free I may well be on at times, I will say hello to any on at the same time.

Laguna is good for all groups with its flowing corners, yes even the American cars on comfort hards. I've been testing the SF 19 and the F1 look-alike this morning great fun, I was only 1.4 seconds off the standing track record set by Helio Castroneves.

Not bad for a disabled old codger.

Races will be approximately 20 to 30 minutes long.

Starting 9th Jan 2020 with any Gr4. on BoP

A little info first, this mini-series will be a two-man team event so we can give encouragement to your teammate. Why, because with real life we can't always all be here every week. If you're not able to make it, you still score the minimum points for your team.

Thanks to Larry for offering to keep a log of the points for each team.

Teams will be the fastest quali time with slowest quali time and so on down the qualifier list.



This series will be in 4 parts. Gr4 / Gr3 / Gr2 / Gr1 with teams of two, fastest quail time paired with slowest quail time.

Starting with Gr4 there will be 3 races in each group at different tracks each race, but you keep to the same car for all races.

The car is any Gr4 you wish, racing hard tires and no tuning, the room will be set to BoP and tuning prohibited.

Point system Larry has this in hand, I think there will be a running total for individuals and a team standing. You can have team names, numbers, liveries whatever if you wish more fun the better.

Not a lot more to say, straight races of between 20 to 30 minutes starting off with no tire wear or fuel. As normal I will introduce some with this.

Important Notice by the race officials.

Damage and side-impact will be on as no contact is allowed of any kind, side front or back.
Short cut will also be on.

Penalties must be cleared before the next corner in races, by pulling off the racing line.

Rule

You must pass before the corner or around the outside, as late cutting underneath is not allowed. As this more often than not ends in impact of some sort.

Any contact, you must wait and resume the position as before contact.

Been talking to some of our members about other things we could introduce, given the fact we have a limited number of tracks.

This was one thing that came up as well as the Race Series, an endurance race of between 45 minutes to 75 minutes, dependent on track/car combo.

This I've been looking at over the holiday season, once a month (ish) to fit in a longer race so we still have time for practice and fun combos, this coupled with our small race series once fortnightly should give us good verity mixed in with members picks on the night and wacky races.
