Sage, your club sucks, if we can't have quotes we can't have freedom! I'm going to create a club that beats your stupid club to death, now if you'll excuse me!

Blake

If I want to quote someone in my signature I tend to do it like this.

Mike Rotch - I have spoiled Race Idiot's GT4 experience

Although I suppose if you just have a quote in your signature it's not too bad.

3) No [size /] tags

Actually, I think a [ size=1 ] (smaller than standard) tag makes the signature look better, but only if you're not mixing font sizes. I'd also like to point out that an unobtrusive signature makes the content of the post more meaningful.

I've noticed a correlation between the meaningful content of the post is usually proportional to the stability, readability, and simplicity of the signature.

I tend to remove the quote tags, if I quote someone; they take up too much space, and you're "forced" to read them as if they were part of the preceding post.

Anyway, like it or not, I think I'm a Tidy Sig-er. (And inversely is now banished from my lexicon for a year due to my pompus attitude.)

It's perhaps the second time I've ever used a signature... Tidy or not, I don't really care.

i know i have a big font for my M, but otherwise mine is pretty small. do i qualify for tidysiggitude?

So people with neat sigs make meaningless posts?

No [size /] Tags?
damn. thats the only way mine will fit on 3 lines.
i think.
meh, i think its cleaner with a [size=1 /] tag.

If I did use TidySig (Smaller Is Better™) , how would people know I need a trampoline?

Put it in your custom user title or location. You could put your coordinates in your location, that would let people know where to drop it off.

Anyway, I think I'll put this in my sig, as I meet the requirements.

You have a neat sig, and so do I. And look how usefull these posts were. The sad thing is, it's on topic as well.

Why don't you want size tags? That's stupid. Making the size smaller should make it more tidy. Screw it, I'm joining Blake's club.

It's a little too late for that. :sly:

edit:just so i have something to contribute to this thread, i would like to point out that aside from the "dopey" and "smilie" emoticons strategically placed after the stock market joke and tvr club link (respectively), a simple font size change and i STILL would not have been able to join the club. :dopey:

I almost never see people use the [size /] tag to make their signatures smaller… if you do so though, then that's perfectly fine. :)

So mine is acceptable?

My sig might break a few rules, but it's not by much. Plus, it suits a very useful purpose. Well, to me, it does. It's also colorful and purty.

Solid Lifters: you should have something in your sig pointing to that kancho thread - more people need to read that.

I'll assume my sig works as long as bold tags are allowed. :)
