I almost never see people use the [size /] tag to make their signatures smaller… if you do so though, then that's perfectly fine.

I've been using the size=1 tag for a year or so now. Maybe longer.

Just for you Sage.... I removed my size tags and got rid of a useless link. The size tag wasn't exactly having a positive effect on membership recruitment.

That quote has been there forever... It might be time for a new one.

On-topic... how do I make a hyperlink appear on the same line as text but aligned to the right? I want to put the Tidy Sig thing to the right of my quote but it puts it on a separate line.

what a curious thread... but it seems to be for the betterment of humaity so I'll all for it

I tend to skim over any sigs that are more than a line or two, and if they'e centered I usually miss them completely. all that time and effort spent getting the alingment right, gone to waste!

In fact, it looks a lot like how my very first signatures looked like (when I first joined the site three years ago) – I'd have several lines of text, alternating between black (gray's a shade of black ) and dark red.

Just thought that was kinda interesting.
