Well happy with my progress on this time trial I know I'm not gonna get near the top ten started using my wheel would do brilliant up until second hair pin then go pete tong so I switched bk to my ds3 and I've gone from 13.2s straight to 12.2s with more to get as had a really sloppy last section

llls19999,,,,,,,,,,,,, think you reset to default then set max speed to 210 km and you should be able to set gears then

This is how Stotty says to do it in the previous TT, after of course defaulting as Nowayback says.

Gears (set max speed to minimum, then set individual gears).

Other tuners say set final gear to max then max speed to min then set gears.

Stotty's seems to be the simplest.

And I believe buying new rims is necessary too, but not sure about that.

edit...Another small improvement at Motegi, down to 1:34.032...pos# 348.

Anyone know how many people have registered times for this time trial?
And is it the usual amount of players or more or less?

Is it me or have a ton of the cheater times been removed from the leaderboards? :odd:

There were 5 above yinato and the 3 with video replays were removed. The top 2 remained somehow.I've never been in a top 10 position for very long, but isn't a video replay of your race PD's decision. How can you not have a replay is what I'm asking because I was never asked when I did make top 10 for a few minutes. A partial solution would be to eliminate all entries without video evidence.

I think PD have just removed the ones that were indicated as having sports hards. Not the ones that supposedly have "comfort softs".

I knew about the tires. I thought maybe PD only disqualified the other 3 because of the video evidence against them and that the other 2 escaped punishment because no such video exists.

So if you are going to cheat...learn to do it better! If the only way to catch them is video evidence...then most of them will get away with it

Wow just noticed that 5 out of top ten dont have video replays!

I'm greatly improving. I have gotten to the point where I can safely use the wheel without spinning. I just have to get comfortable with it so I can whip the car around again with confidence. Now I am concentrating on the amount of initial turn in to give the car, Since I have that option now.. with the DS3 it was just move.... the.... stick. Now I have to modulate how much I turn in. I'm finding it hard to get the car to slightly over rotate and then control it (which seems to be the secret in gt5 when it comes to lap times) After that I think I should practice drifting for a bit so I can master counter steering. Everytime I get the car in a slide and save it i'm like YEAH BOY THAT WAS AWESOME.. Usually that is not the case lol... I love the wheel. Lots of fun.

Question though.. How are you guys getting around the hairpin in the FGT TT. I have to rotate the **** out of the wheel to the point where I am doing hand over hand... Should I practice the sliding a bit or get used to the hand over hand?

For the hairpin you have to use the brakes with a slight turn of the wheel to get the car to rotate. You should aim to pivot around the inside kerb (without touching it). Then you need to get back on the power carefully and possible use a bit of opposite lock to avoid spinning and to get a good exit. 👍

Nice tip mate used it and found I getting 0.5 quicker through that section gives me a much better line for entrance to tunnel

Here is the tune on pmjg's WRX STi '10 which I and others are using. Pmjg is on 1:33.265 and I am currently on 1:34.260.
Again, thanks pmjg for sharing and allowing me to post your tune here.

4058--2906--2256--1846--1549--1318...final 3254...max speed 210km/h.

All weight reductions, no engine adds except for Titanium exhaust and sports ECU, plus the usual clutch flywheel stuff etc.

I found final gear at 3.705 beneficial and front toe at -0.03, but the latter is subject to experiment.

Good luck anyone who gives it a try.
Massive thanks for sharing this 👍 Just managed to shave of 0.7 seconds of my previous fastest time without breaking a sweat, next up 1:34's ( although my DS3 will not appreciate the continued abuse  )
EDIT : just managed a 1:34.686 , needless to say I'm pretty stoked

Good one Darkcraft, I'm sure Pmjg will appreciate your acknowledgement.

What a joke these TT's have become. In my opinion, there is no need for that. Sure, its funny, but it just makes a mockery out of the leaderboards. I mean, maybe I can see one person doing it to get their message across I guess, but then you have a case of monkey see, monkey do and it just becomes a mess. Everybody has to be a comedian I guess. Like I said before tho, push them too hard and they just might shut down the whole TT altogether. Then you will have people crying and whinning about that.

PD obviously knows about the problem as they have removed some times from the leaderboard already, there is really no need to get any message across to them. All those people are doing is cluttering up the leaderboards with cheated times. Watch, now the leaderboards are going to fill up with people creating accounts just to be funny. Personally, I hope they get their asses banned. PD really needs to take some serious action, otherwise this type of thing is just going to keep happening and ruin things for us legit players.

EDIT: After looking at the leaderboards a bit more, I can only guess that that would be our friend Peasantslayer trying to be funny.

One thing for sure, I don't want this kind of bull happen in GT6, that would ruin the game early, meaning PD must not allow the hacking to happen - whatever it takes.

I hope you like it friends? I had to spend about 2:00 to do that...

I used car driver ''dedman100'', it's very stupid boy...

I hope my posts will work, it would be rewarding.

There has to wait! :)

Here is the complete range of tires of a car hacked:

I think if it is possible for the tt's pd could supply the car but then let us tune it ourselves - reducing the chance of hacked cars.

The mileage could always remain at 0, and this could prevent dirty oil and other ways to gain an advantage. Keeping it solely down to tuning and driving.

Also it should save your tunes A, B and C for when you next log-in to the time trial, so you can pick up where you left off.
After all I think running tt's with tuning is what gt is all about. Stock events are great also but missing out on the whole tuning aspect completely makes having it there in the first place a bit pointless. (maybe 1 tuning and 1 non tuning event each seasonal...)

Just spent 2 hours getting the impreza RA '05 onto the leaderboard, currently on a 1'33.5 for around 185(ish). Seems a bit redundant now lol.
