He's not using the Camaro, just comparing his Muira time to doodles Camaro time. 👍

As for me, I haven't had much time to try to improve and doubt I will as real life has kept me busy.

Doh:ouch: Hope you can make it out this weekend. This is a great combo, one of the few that grabbed my interest. I doubt I'll see anything this good again before GT6!!

Don't worry. I just passed him back with a 1:32.159. :D Red lapped a .067 though. :grumpy:
Did you manage to have a go with setup I'm using? Well done on going back to top spot 👍. Hopefully will have enough time to have a good go at this and complete a lap closer to my limit and maybe even challenge you.

1:36:629 for 484th with my powerful Samba Bus!
I think is time to switch to the Miura
If things go well I'm going to score my first top 500 in a TT :)

Ridox, I sent another fr req to GTPCARSHARE if you have room and can let me back in, I really need to borrow a ride. Thanks.

I did try it, just too much understeer in corners and oversteer in exits for me. Otherwise, it has potential. 👍

Just finished my first run of the TT, spent an hour on it with the first 30 mins spent getting rid of GTA V habits. :) Anyway I'm about a second off first place with a friend's Miura at the moment and I should be able to break into the 32s tomorrow. Congrats to you doodle, great time.

Everyone see this announcement from the GTP Administrator?

GTPlanet will be temporarily unavailable during a maintenance period starting Monday, October 28 at 00:00 GMT/UTC (convert this to your local time). The downtime is expected to last for approximately three hours, but may require more time due to the complexity of the work being completed.

When the site returns, GTPlanet will feature a new look and an entirely new software platform which will introduce a wide variety of changes and new features designed to make the site easier and more engaging to use. These changes will be outlined in another announcement after the update is launched.

Unfortunately, not all of the features currently available on GTPlanet will be supported by the new platform. Please read over the following to see if these changes will impact you:

Mobile Apps: GTPlanet’s mobile apps for iOS and Android will no longer function after the site update is launched. The all-new site template has been carefully designed to work on all types of mobile phones, tablets, and PCs. Simply load gtplanet.net in your favorite mobile browser to start using the new site.

Community Calendar: The “Online Events Calendar” will no longer be available after the site update. Please review and note any events or dates you may have posted on the calendar which you would like to keep.

Social Groups: Content posted in GTPlanet’s “social groups” will no longer be available after the site update. Click here for more information.

Photo Albums: Images uploaded to private user photo albums will also no longer be available after the site update. Click here for more information.

Signatures: Post signatures will be lost during the conversion to the new forum software platform. You will be able to set a new signature after the transition is complete.

User Profile Pictures: Currently, GTPlanet users can set “avatars” (the small images you see next to your public forum posts) and “profile pictures” (the larger images visible on your account’s profile page). Profile pictures will not be part of the new site platform and will be replaced by the image used for your avatar.

All other aspects of your account should remain unaffected, and no other content is expected to be lost or deleted. Please post any questions you may have here in this thread.

I apologize for any inconvenience this transition may cause, but I thank you for your patience and I am excited to introduce many new features designed to make your experience on GTPlanet the best it can be.

I would think so as there is a Site Maintenance Notice highlighted in Red in the upper right hand corner of this and every forum page.

Ahh, good spotting Cargo, go to the head of the class.

In any case you have posted it again in its entirety so no one can claim to have not seen it.

133.495 using jimi's tune with Julian Ross transmission. Lost 2/10 in sector 1 so still some time to find. Liked Saidur's tune as well but Jimi's just suits me better. Might be an Aussie thing :D

Make that 133.397 :D Still lost 2/10 in S1 so 132.9xx beckons but going away with work on Tuesday so probably only 1 more session to improve.

Relax dude, I was only messing with you. Go have a drink or something, damn.

Thanks for all the time you have spent checking on and adding everyone to your list so they can enjoy this amazing car.

I'll add my thanks to that, Ridox, you did a great job here - in fact IIRC (no time to check back on the thread) it was you that first suggested using a Miura. Made history here.

I have been keeping a close look at this thread all week. Been out of country and finaly back tomorrow to give it a run. Can't wait :-)

Good Luck - not a lot of time left. If you want to break that record, you'd better hurry up. Literally.

Finally got my Miura down to 400 @ 7,500 miles, put on doodles tune, and got 1:36.0xx, now to practice some more, my goal is < 1:35.

Mine seems to be stuck at PP401. I'm grinding like the mills of God working overtime.

It's always been that way with low power setting when using power limiter - the more limited the power the more it goes up and down, all GT5 cars suffers this when driven offline or online race when the mileage counts. The peak power rpm will fluctuates up and down like mad :)

Try adjust by small increments, then go back to tuning screen, notice the rpm goes up and down without driving it too.

We live in a parallel reality; I can confirm this as true, and experienced.

You must have missed the .177 I did in the Camaro the day after I did that time. :(

Probably many people missed that, doodle - at least a few who weren't stuck in front of GTP, or GT5, all day. I caught it - but had saved your previous run - so I used the slower time myself when trying to meet your time with a Camaro of my own. As I mentioned - when we were discussing the possibility of using a Miura - I knew that any other car was going to have a problem matching the Miura's times - so I put everything Camaro on the back-burner for awhile.

However - IIRC, your Camaro time was the fastest ever posted (and I have photographic records of the fastest Camaros on the Board till a few days ago.)

There are some other great cars that have still to be tested, the Cosmos, G4, Cobra, '69 Stingray . . . they all have potential.

Ahh, good spotting Cargo, go to the head of the class.

In any case you have posted it again in its entirety so no one can claim to have not seen it.

Thanks for the heads-up, Dalone - while I visit almost every sub-Forum, and probably have even posted threads in many, I don't visit them all at once all the time - and unless I am actually logged in, don't get many notifications. It's a date to remember. . . 👍

Miura after 200 laps...

Welcome to GTPlanet, guys. :)
Good to see you here.

Very well put!

You flatter me. :embarrassed: Very well read!

Dang. There's a lot of beer-drinking going on in here. Frothy stuff, anyway. ;

I'm just 8 thousandths shy of the 32s but I'm calling it a day on this one, I did a bad first sector on that lap so I could squeeze into the 32s but I hate low grip cars on this track.

I did try it, just too much understeer in corners and oversteer in exits for me. Otherwise, it has potential. 👍
Need to find something in setup then by the looks of things as they are the things that seem to hampering me able to do a good lap overall. Looking at times at the top, it looks like it will be very hard for me to match or beat unless I turn into an alien . Did you manage to do low .3XX first sectors with setup I'm using? Thanks for trying out 👍.
