@Eliminatorek

1 millisecond faster is faster ! 😅

With @eggmann, i learned with if we could put the lightning in bottle.

Congratulations to you, you see, you regretted having accepted me as a friend, and I am almost certain that you no longer regret it.

In this place, we face each other friendly, we find goals and we experience satisfaction when we achieve them.
Thanks @NicoGmbh

I agree both joining TT thread and leaderboards (friends or GTP) motivates to push for addidional tenths.

@Eliminatorek

Nothing personal… (maybe not 🤣)

@zaxs almost there! Turn 1, shift up to 4th as you cross the right-hand curb for a bit of extra rotation in the turn. 5th before entering the uphill (Esses). 6th before hitting the left-handed Esses portion for an extra ‘nudge’ to the left. In busstop chicane, try to carry more speed - like 95 mph or close to it. If you can do that you’ll have gold handily or be mighty close to it.

Hi guys!

Quick look outta the TT grave! ;)
Inspired by fantastic sub-50 time by my dear friend John DudeTuna @K1LLD0z3R, I decided to try my hand at this interesting combo.

At first it seemed impossible, but after a dozen of laps (or so) it began to click and improvements were made.
On lap 34 I finally dipped under 50:

There's a margin to drop it some more, but I'm lazy nowadays and called it a quits :lol:

Sorry John to overtake you, but you forced my hand 👈

I thought it'd be a good idea to have another crack at Watkins Glen last night but I just ended up wasting more than 3 hours of my life. When your objective is soo close, you think it's going to be easy but that's not always the case. The treat is just out of reach and it's soo frustrating because you only need a few more centimetres to get it. My stupid kitty brain can't steer itself away from the reward and give up because I've come soo far already. Am I wrong for trying? Have I wasted my time? It just seems like a pointless exercise. I'm not gaining anything by beating @Jeje6410 so why do I even bother? I shouldn't be subjecting myself to this unnecessary torture but at the same time I want to improve. I want to better myself and push as hard as I can because if you're not moving forward, you're going backwards. I suppose the philosophy is sound but I don't know if I should apply it to a video game where there's no real punishment for coming up short. I'll still have my life, my home, my model cars and this computer that I'm using. Oh well. Guess I'll stay where I am right now.

Being so close can feel the farthest. 🙂

I liken it to what I call my Blade Theory too; it gets more precarious to get a handle towards the pointed end of the double-edged sword.

Mmm no new tt and a server maintenance in an hour, we have to wait boys
(I could have figured that out if I had looked at the ending time of the kart 🤔.....which I golded and ran....) 🤣🤣

Kart in Brands Hatch is my 3rd TT after Monza and Suzuka where I only got bronze and silver respectively. This time it was a very easy GOLD and I am at loss to explain why. I did put a lot more effort into Suzuka and truly wanted to get GOLD, but ended up being 0.9 sec off.

Taking things into perspective, I did learn something new while practicing at Brands Hatch on a kart. Finally managed to get 0:49:627 and be in top 1300 in the world.

What did I learn:
  • driving a kart with no assists
  • understood that you need to drift into some corners
  • realized that Brands Hatch has an unusual approach to track limits

I think I should have been able to get 0:49.5, but I did not have an access to the game the game the last 5 days. But equally, I do not know how it is possible to go below 49:3. I know where in theory I was loosing time and if I had skills, I would probably know how to do 49.3….but that is all. No idea where people find time to do 48.9 for example.

Another thing….this is a short track, so if I am 0.8 sec of the world record here it is probably 4-5 seconds in Suzuka.

I have not tried it but I am happy PD is giving us some unusual TTs once in a while, like go-kart too, eventhough I could not compete in it, but I like the change from "standard" repeating concept. I am happy it is not suzuka again now again when F1 is at suzuka.
That's true indeed, it is something different, but i still would prefer something different 😂 😂
But in all honesty, it think they nailed a lot of combo's but you just can't please everyone,
personally..... i have a lot of fun with almost all of them, except for things like the LM55 at Daytona we got .... just not my thing, certainly on the pad were we had a real disadvantage if i remember correctly, and this feels very close to that 😂😂

But we will give it our best shot! 😁
