14 laps and I finally managed to just creep into gold at Nurb GP... by 0.008s 😬

Obviously it won't last, but I just couldn't hold it together in the last sector to beat my time of 2:24.442 even though I was over 0.4s up at the final split, only to bin it at the Bollard of Doom. 😔

I managed to get an optimal of 2:23.4xx, a full 1s faster than my best lap, so I know I can get a better time, but I reckon the gold time will drop into the high 2:23s soon.

Few laps with the RX-8 and got an invalidated silver 2:27 flat. For now, it's only a basic 2:28.2xx with no ghost, and no video.
Except miracle, my objective is a secured silver here.

No new PB, but my optimals keep getting better.

The RX-8 will have to wait. It's probably going to take a while to nail a good lap.

Your T1 avg is much better than mine, I’m lucky to get under 30.8 normally, whereas your avg isn’t far off that… I think with a couple more sessions we can both be under 1:52 👍

I just did 8 more laps and got 2:23.900 - good enough for gold for now, but I don't have much more left.

Thanks @Tidgney for the video, the braking points are very helpful. My first sector was a real mess, and I was losing a tonne of time there - I still am compared to the top guys of course! That last sector though, gives me the fear every time and I just can't do it in 3rd without screwing it up.

I didn't realise one's optimal time includes red sectors - that explains why my optimal is now in the 2:22's

Thanks Daniel, but with @Evilmuffin's and @crome's previous hints (plus @crome's ghost) I just need to put the time into it. I was already in a comfy silver in my last invalidated lap (just slightly touched a wall at T9)

My best lap is shared so you can always have a look, but no need to take time to make an analysis, unless you spot one key element that will make me gain 3s 🤣

I'm not 100% sure, but I think Spa was my third successive gold. Well, in terms of ones I entered...

I haven't really been bothering with the TTs except the occasional one that vaguely interests me, and sometimes I'll just do a lap on the pad for the hell of it - usually silver, couple of bronzes, one I think with something stupidly fast wasn't even that - but with 2m a pop for between two and 30 minutes I've been trying them more recently.

Spa was a gold at 2:41.690 (+2.47%), I didn't do Fuji, Deep Forest was a 1:46.286 (+2.33%), and I forget what the other one was. Maybe Watkins Glen/Alpine? So odd that there's no easy way to check.

Well, yes, but I'm not massively interested in my overall record because I've not really done most of them!

It's just way odd that the game tells you that you've got so many gold, silver, and bronze results but there's no way to check - in-game or on the site - what you got and where.

Like, I'm logged in as me and I'm looking at the Alfa Romeo/Spa time trial, but my actual record/result isn't shown. If I want to find my result I have to remember my time and scroll to the right page (somewhere in the nearly 4000s) - and even then it doesn't say whether I got G/S/B...

Wow, what an awesome TT.
In the RX8 on home soil. Revs over 9,000, it could hardly be better.
But damn, it's hard to drive a fast lap. Either I make a mistake on the last corners or the lap is invalid.
My opt. is good in the 2:20.xxx but I can't get it together.

Fastest attempt today is a 2:21.070 but hopefully I can improve on that over the next few days.

This game feels like a giant asteroid fell on Japan half way during development and they stopped everything after that. And now in an after disaster world, some guy in his shed as a remote access to the server and sets up tiny events as well as he could.

2:23.1 for my first session. Watching the replay makes me cringe though, and there’s a 22.5 on the optimal.

Seems to be getting slower the longer I go on though, so enough for tonight.

I'll send it to you anyway by DM. You're third gold in the current streak was at Alsace - Test Course Reverse in the Gr.4 car, where you used the Mazda and posted 48.216. The other two were at Sardegna (also Gr.4) and Autopolis in the the Toyota bus.

Gotta say, i enjoy the shorter time trials a lot more. Got 2,29 in for today, not even Silver... Every decent lap gets invalidated at the second to last corner due to the pole / pollar or what ever it is called.

Aww cheers mate, but your effort is the mega one! Get that 19! I'm surprised my lap time was as good as it was as I felt really comfortable with the combo immediately and could see the time there.

No worries glad it's of help! It is a case where 3rd gear is the ultimate gear but if you can't do 3rd just stick it in 2nd it will be fine just got to counter the oversteer before it happens and you'll be good!

First post of the year. I was still completing the time trials over the break however I haven't felt particularly motivated to put lots of effort into them compared to normal. Once I achieve a safe gold I move on to doing something else.

This continues to apply for the Supra around Trial Mountain. Did about 7 laps last night, on the final lap I achieved a 1:51.834 which places me 481st currently. And that will be all the laps I do for that trial because the Supra is an absolutely horrible car to drive with BOP applied. How can a racecar have such a complete lack of turn in and front grip as this? It feels sluggish on the straights, understeery in the corners and still manages to spin its wheels up on corner exit, even in 4th gear. I thought this would be a combination I might enjoy, but with a car that drives like this... no thank you.

Well....anything within 1.5% is a good time. There is a 21.9s there, as the first and last sector weren't that great.

Finally got around to trying this Supra at Trial Mountain and boy do I hate it.

I'm into Gold (just) but have absolutely no desire to go near it again, not for me.
