It seems like I picked a good week to be out of town to visit my parents. A VGT at Suzuka isn't my ideal combo choice.

Instead, I get to hang out with my little buddies!

Cleo - very fluffy. Typically asocial but actually greeted me this time. It's a first.

Carl - a bit of a dope. My sister rescued him from a dumpster when he was a year old. Had some kind of growth removed from the side of his face recently, which is why his eye appears the way it does.

Those are cute kittens you have there. We didn't own any cats back in the early 2000's. We owned a Sheltie named Buddy. He died in 2009 though. We miss him so much.

I've got to go to bed, I've been up for 45 hours straight racing and eating. I think I'm playing too much gt7, xD.

Moved to TC0 with a controller and finally picked up the last.2xx I have been searching for! It was not a perfect lap and I don't expect it to stand as a gold lap time, so I will keep pushing. I know on that lap i left maybe .050 or more from a small bobble.

As I was driving with TC1 I was noticing that when traction control was kicking in it was causing the weight to transfer across the rear axle and I was fighting that sudden weight transfer. The issue wasn't really traction out of corners. When I went to TC0 the issue was gone and I no longer was fighting the car mid corner to corner exit. Traction for acceleration really never was an issue. :)

I did have to check my spelling on that a few times to ensure I wasn't getting the wrong one and implying an evolution of Mr. Garrison's "IT" monowheel...

"Prostrate" is when you lie on your front:

I can't imagine how uncomfortable that would be after a minute or two...lying on your stomach having to hold your head up to look forward and your arms stretched out working the wheel?? Dumb...

Just to join in the chorus - Yes, I love the track. But the car is ugly and stupid and frankly not that fun to drive. What is wrong with using real cars exactly? There are so many classic real cars in the game that never get used, or are used once in a daily or a TT and then are never seen again. But no, we have to drive around in a silly made up thing with a billion horsepower.
This. Love the track too but despise VGT's. If they aren't real, they aren't so I don't deal with them if I don't have to. In a race, maybe, like one of the present weeklies at Interlagos. But to stress out in a TT on an old controller on auto, no thanks. Heck even on Tidge's video he had problems on a controller in auto. What more me? Come on,PD, real cars please!

Has anyone attempted the new TT in VR yet? I'm hoping the driving position doesn't hinder driving too much.

I remember the Lamborghini VGT at St. Croix needed a lot of adjusting just to see out of it without the overhead screens/console blocking the view.

Like many others I was hoping for a more "normal" car to balance the GT-One contest, but now we're saddled with two tough tracks and two hard to tame race cars.

Hoping the VGT drives well enough to be fun, but even Tidge is mentioning a steep difficulty and the crazy nature of the Mclaren.

@GlockPants These are cute cats out there. I have two of them girls myself. Am I reading last couple of pages right? This mcl has battery? I thought I was missing upshifts...ffs. Well.. the 5th to 6th gear upshift does mess my rythm anyway as it needs to be done way later than other gears. As for the tt.. does PD want to predict some mclaren p1-2 in this weekend f1 race fingers crossed?
As for now....i love suzuka, and this mcl vgt seems to be more enjoyable than gt one. For me at least. Gonna snap my wrists or hurt my elbows as ffb does hurt me a little bit after couple of laps. Did some recon laps, no pressure because end of week work wear and pressure/aggresion kicks in. Gonna tackle this one on weekend with fresh mind and some tips from here :P

Very quick session while the dinner was baking in the Owen

No improvement at fuji, not that I was waiting for it. The session was to short and the last time I drove was on Sun.

I also did couple of laps at suzuka. I think my track has more esses then yours. I cannot explain otherwise why it takes 10s more than you...
More seriusly, I have to study a lot, today was just to remember the track and appreciate the commentary. The car has some void between 4/5 and 5/6 and brakes less than expected, so here too will be a learning curve

This was an hour ago and I'm sure it's gone down but it's def possible. Difficult to find where the time is but doable.
Well done! I believe it's only a matter of time before our overlord alien @EbrahimX7 closes the gap and takes it away from us. That gap is huge though.. I'd love to see a comparison between p1 and p2 replays.
