Well ....to my fello controller users...... rest in peace 🤣🤣

I just did a few laps but the S'es are still a huge disadvantage for us here, you just cant turn in enough.....and you can't do nothing about it,
gold is absolutely possible but chasing a top time is not going to happen for me here as expected ...40.2 on remote just now,

We will see tomorrow morning 🤣

Felt the urge to continue with the Fuji TT and try to at least come down to 1:33.xxxx.

Finally had a lap with a good S3 and that immediately paid off: 1:33.711! Sweet. Now I really feel that Gold actually is possible in this one. Had an optimum of 1:33.397.

I drive with the DuslShock4 and managed to push the throttle a bit more ”smooth” exiting the turns, and that really helped. The problem is consistency, of 15 laps I only had one sub 1:34. Those two last turns really kills my laptimes, but I finally feel quite confident on everything up to that point.

Well done! I believe it's only a matter of time before our overlord alien @EbrahimX7 closes the gap and takes it away from us. That gap is huge though.. I'd love to see a comparison between p1 and p2 replays.
I'm usually pretty quick to gold with downforce. This one is HARD. Very very knife edge. I actually had a lap with a delta that would have given me a .2xx but I wrecked before the chicane at the end. So pissed! 😂😂😂

Looks like there is still a little bit human DNA left in you 😅
I appreciate that.
But I’am sure in the end it is 1.38.xxx as always.

Has anyone attempted the new TT in VR yet? I'm hoping the driving position doesn't hinder driving too much.

I remember the Lamborghini VGT at St. Croix needed a lot of adjusting just to see out of it without the overhead screens/console blocking the view.

Like many others I was hoping for a more "normal" car to balance the GT-One contest, but now we're saddled with two tough tracks and two hard to tame race cars.

Hoping the VGT drives well enough to be fun, but even Tidge is mentioning a steep difficulty and the crazy nature of the Mclaren.
Yes, I do all my racing in VR. Some VGTs are awful, and some 'real' cars (Citroen, I'm looking at you) are unusable in VR. The Macca is actually quite a pleasant surprise. I'll persist until I get into the 1.40s.

Well that was interesting. After a couple laps I thought I'd be struggling to get silver. But, once you get used to the car and come to grips with it (pun intended) it's pretty fun. Overall, I liked this TT. Hope this holds...

I've been busy practicing for my upcoming league races, but took some time today for the new time trial and even managed to set a decent time: 1:37.766

You really need to work the gears here. For example in the hairpin it's best to downshift to 1st for rotation and then double shift to 3rd at exit.

And people don't forget to use DRS!

Alright, first session in the McLaren. No shiny medal yet, but I expected worse tbh.

If the WR does not improve too much, I think I have a chance of keeping the gold streak alive, and that's really all I can hope for here. In sector 3 alone I lose a full second to Tidgney's ghost (mainly the exit after the hairpin I think).

Also ... and this is admittedly a low bar to clear ... but this is the most fun I had in a VGT so far. At least this one has good, even great visibility in VR and proper tires.

This thing has...DRS??

I checked the HUD and didn't see it! Welp, I might not even need to improve though, 1:39.1 should be plenty good for gold 😅
Yeah, it can only be activated at a certain speed when driving dead straight, but it's there. I wouldn't have noticed it myself either if I hadn't watched the top replay all the way through because it's not displayed on the dashboard or VR HUD.

Spent a while on the GT-One TT at Fuji just now. Did apx. 200km to get a safe gold.

Got a initial gold time within the first few laps, but it was just a couple of hundreds of a second clear of the benchmark. Struggled to improve on a whole lap, but my optimal steadily got better, was down to 1:32.9xx. Eventually I managed a 1:33.185 and decided to call it a day. That should be enough to take me past the finish line in the gold.

I do like Fuji, but I do not like the last corner. However, the GT-One is amazing in VR, so good fun was had! :D

Tried Suzuka for some (mostly invalid) laps just now. 1:43,28 i think. Hard to imagine where to find 2 more seconds for silver.

Controller, AT, TC1, CSA strong, Stability control ON :scared:
The AT is going to kill your time for this TT. You are losing nearly a second at the hairpin exit because you will stuck in first gear spinning the tires. With MT, you can exit in 3rd and just pin the throttle down as soon as the car is remotely straight.

Took a couple laps with a fresh mind but the only way I survive 130R is with no throttle at all and calm stearing. otherwise it kills me every time 😂 But with that I loose so much time there. Currently almost 3s off gold 💀💩

I think silver will be the target here and then I go from there and see if I can improve enough for gold. Won't lap hundreds of laps here though. Absolutly don't like the VGTs.

Funny side note: Was sligthly over the daily milage and got a 4* Ticket.. What did I get? A Bugatti VGT Gr1 🤣

Currently watching F1 practice at Suzuka and wondering how this VGT car requires such effort to achieve such a "slow" time. Set a 1:44 "banker" bronze after too many attempts to count. Like others have said, completing a lap at all is not trivial. I cant seem to get through 130r without going wide or the back end sliding.

I am completely unable to keep the Mclaren under control at 130R. The rear just swings out no matter if I'm on or off throttle nor doing gentle steering inputs. I spent 125+ miles on this TT and only made it around that corner like 5 times. Is it a controller thing? I have a silver on it but it's so frustrating that I've gone a lot quicker so many times only to lose it at that corner.
