Excellent time, well done. I made a point yesterday of exiting rather than restarting, after setting that time, to ensure the replay would be available. Glad you found it useful.
Thanks, yeah definitely nice to follow!

I know right? This is sooo addictive. I have to actively force myself to stop playing and enjoy the beautiful spring weather. Which is exactly what I'll be doing right now. Off to do some mountain-biking.
Yeah I love these types of combos. I also have a bunch of stuff do do outside.. harder and harder to be inside the nicer the weather! But hey at least this is some kind of exercise LOL. I definitely work up a sweat fighting against FFB and load cell, and especially in VR, not as much as on my motorcycles or e-bike though! On the other hand this is much safer 😅

I've dropped to bronze on Suzuka but I haven't got any interest in it at all so it can stay there 😂

Gave the KTM a go on the controller on Friday and I was loving it, made it into the top 1000 (although now knocked out of it), and great to finally see myself on the first page of my friends times again 🤣

My optimal is definitely achievable as I know I made some mistakes.

@seadog777 notice the orange wheels 😉

I then gave it another go on the G29 yesterday and lets just say, I am much more consistent, and if I had more time then I think I would improve much further on it than on the controller.

Then I got picture happy, but damn was that livery hard to match up over all of the different body panels.

While I was busy during the day making the garden summer ready, i could not get that that Xbow out of my head, stuffing up a top 100 lap is always a pain in the rear....

Only one way to get it out of my brain and that's returning....
Not even one 32.0 on S1 during my second session but had a bunch of 31.1's.

In the end I got one descent lap, but still a tenth slower before the chicane than my personal best there, but nailed the chicane for once 🤣🤣

Hello top 100 😁

I found the KTM much better with no aids at all and full steering sensitivity on both controller and wheel
Absolutely 100% you need that power oversteer in the corners so def no TCS plus I think placing the car without CSA is far more delicate and easier., it's very controllable without assist on pad.

Have you guys been using CSA for the KTM? I find it really helps..
Yep, CSA strong for me. No other assists (except ABS)

Hello top 100 😁
Awesome lap, and congrats on the top 100! It's amazing how much time is to be gained in that final chicane. I'll try to replicate what you did there ;)

Thanks mate!

Last chicane turns out to be a real lapcrusher for me 🤣, and should not even be a real difficult one 🙈
A low 5 should be possible but then I have to nail everything.... that hasnt quite worked out yet..... 🤣🤣 and I'm sure @Evilmuffin will answer to this in the morning casually hopping into the 5's 🙈

Managed another 0.030 of improvement yesterday. Not sure I can string together that 1:24.5 optimal just yet.

At the beginning I used the CSA, but today I decided to do without it and frankly you can be faster. You just have to be clear and flexible in your changes of direction.
I was able to progress from 0'300 (from 1'25'8xx to 1'25'514) without TCS, without CSA and just ABS at weak

Wow, you guys are super-fast!! I need a rocket strapped to the back of my X-bow for that extra boost of speed, xD. In order to catch up with you. Don't worry, I'll find that magic touch real soon.

You're right. It was a typo.😅
Yeah no worries my friend, I've translated your nice typo into French ;)
Here is a screenshot from a lap of mine earlier today. 32,7 got me under the 26's. So.... 32,8 or even 32,9 can give you the gold time.
That's the plan, enter the "1:25" if possible. For that, I really need to work seriously on S1.
I'm under 32:xx on S2 and around 21,7 for S3.

Shaving some tenths (more than 4) here and there could be doable with lot of work.

ATTACK!!!

BTW I only used ABS default on the KTM/ Road Atlanta. I usually try not to run any aids unless I'm way below gold and run out of ideas/ talent/ patience, etc.. . 😆
Throwing shade are we? ;). JK, but I did find CSA gave me more stability out of S3. For some reason, when it was off I had to wrestle to prevent the car from squatting into its suspension and oversteering.

After, usually successful, morning, where I couldn't find myself with a car, a evening session was way better!

I made it into gold zone twice, after I posted frustrated 3.01% lap...

I stopped at 1:26.092

I really hope so I'll made it into 25s,bcs somehow I think it will be necessary for gold time.

But what a fun combo, just brilliant!
You can drive and drive...

LOL definitely no shade! That's just what I personally try to do. I'm just stubborn and I'd actually probably be faster with CSA on most of these TT's. I'm not at the level where it would slow me down 99% of the time.
Thinking objectively, it seems I like driving via the feel of the FFB, and spend quite a few laps dialing that in first and it feels different with CSA, kind of muddy or maybe just different enough for me to notice so I leave that stuff off. At Suzuka I was faster with CSA on weak, but still not enough for gold. 😬
There's still time, but not sure if I want to drive that thing again. LOL

It was a struggle for over 100 miles today before I finally gained on my previous best. That particular lap I was well up but evidently had a slow exit out of the final chicane even though it felt fast. I quit, took some pictures and saved my replay. Then decided, eh, I'll give it another go. Jumped back in and improved by another couple hundredths on my first lap despite it looking really ugly. (See video below :boggled:) I struggled through the first sector (turn 1 has been a consistent pain). I couldn't quite get the car turned in the first right hander on the far end of the track in sector 2 and got a slight bit of oversteer coming out of the second turn there. Then I proceeded to top it all off by completely missing the apex of the final kink before the line. I think I may have another tenth in me max unless I can get a better handle of turn 1. Meanwhile @Gomario JSP & @Evilmuffin are disappearing into the distance...

You definitely need new livery

Hadn’t been on for a while, after a rather tricky time in the McLaren VGT I went over to Road Atlanta which I’ve always enjoyed.

Gold in 2 laps and by lap 10 I snuck into the 100 club, albeit with a scruffy last couple of corners. The KTM is really fun on that track!

Had my first session today on Road Atlanta, jumped into the car, drove one nice lap and thought to myself, wow, this is easy, so nice and smooth, it will be a sub 25 easy... And then I crossed the line with a 26.5

So it was time to pun on a nice fast Martini livery and grind my way into the 24s.

1713130346564.jpg

Don't really care about the position at the end, just to get into the club. I was so close 3 or 4 times with a 25.1, 25.2, I just can't get the first sector right, other two sectors I was ok but the first, OMG.

And finally, after 30 or 40 attempts, there it was, again with a pretty mediocre first sector (I think 32.4 or something like that), but managed to make up time later in the lap.

And now back to the daily races :D

My first run (1:25.994) was with TC1 and CSA on strong. Every improvement after that was with TC 0 and CSA off. So I'm almost at the same times with or without assist which is a bit strange. TC off definitly feels better.

Have yet been able to get one really good lap together though so will try with CSA on the next days and see if it helps for one really good lap.

Yes, I got every single tune-up modification in the tuning shop and I got a new record, 1'28.330! So, I just need to push a little more to enter silver territory. It is very doable using an AT. I watched a couple really good replays which gave me a clear idea now of what to do and what value of speed I need to be at during each turn and corner.

Now, off to Suzuka for some more action and hot lapping!

.....I'm sure @Evilmuffin will answer to this in the morning casually hopping into the 5's 🙈
Well...actually no I havn't been driving the X-Bow. I had been watching some of Suellio's videos on youtube, and one of the thing he said got me thinking. "If your car feels like it is on rail, you are under driving it. If you maximize the traction for all 4 wheels, your car should feel 'floaty'."

I decided to do some practice at Nurburgring in a E30 M3 with SH tires (didn't try with the X-Bow becaue I still can't dance with it yet).....and I managed to shave FOUR SECONDS off of my fastest lap with the E30 (down to 8:05.205). Now I just need to figure out how to dance with the X-Bow.

Sorry I went off topic a bit 🫣
