Now to try the other account.
Second lap I got it as well on the Abroad account.

I almost freaked out as I was even further up but then got all wobbly and lost, probably, 2/10th coming out the last chicane. I breathed a huge sigh of relief when I realized I’d still made it. 😁

Where is everyone shifting up?
I’ve been shifting at the end of the next gear indicator, about 75-80% up the bar. I chose that as that was the shift point for one of the leaders, who replay I’ve watched.

But I found I shift up to a much higher gear coming out of corners so there is a lot of time the rev bar does not even register.

Yes, I beat it on Lap 98. The replay was so long I couldn't share it.
I think you can share replay of best lap only once you exit the TT.
I improved my time down to 3'51.202. I'm way in the back of the crowd. I hope I can reach silver soon. What is your time?
Well done ! When did you improved it ? When you told us about your lap 98, you were a 3:54.963 or something like that. You did more laps later ?

I haven't had any time to be on GT7 the past several days, but managed to squeeze in a stint at LeMans tonight and achieved my goal of getting into the 39s! :)

Gotta get to sleep now (work tomorrow) so I'll have to catch up on the many pages I'm behind on the thread tomorrow :)

Not sure if I'll push for more on this one or switch gears to the new Merc TT

First serious session in the AMG this evening after a couple of shorter runs earlier in the weekend. What a lovely car - I’ve never really liked the track but the balance in the car makes it really enjoyable. Started the evening on a 51.7 and worked my way down to 51.26. Almost stopped there, but then there’s always one more just in case! The very next lap was a 51.17 and then two laps later dropped further to this lap where I ended the session. There’s definitely a sub-51 in there somewhere, and it’ll be fun hunting for it

Such a frustrating morning this was, i'm completely off focus due to personal matters what gives me stress on level gazillion, and that makes concentrating very hard for me.
Still tried some laps but think i stuffed up only one or two potential .7 laps.
lots of .9 and some high 8's....

best of the morning was a .....

I don't know if i'll try again,

Happy days folks

no GT7 this weekend.
I spent my time watching LeMans, the real thing, doing some garden work and a nice walk in the fields yesterday afternoon.

I guess my 104.8% silver went sour in the meantime, on the other hand I did just 8 laps in it, spent mostly telling me to brake earlier.
I'll see if I can remedy that in the next few days.

As much as GT7 is not absolute perfection in terms of simulation and track reproduction, I have to say that it is exiting to watch the race and comment with pseduo-competence of someone who "has done it too" on what you see on the track, so kudos to GT7 for letting me experience these little moments of youthful dreams

Btw this conversation reads like an ad for my plugin 😉
I thought the exact same 😂

Tried yesterday to improve my time on the LeMans TT but after 10laps I was over 1s away from my pb 😂 Guess it will have to do 😅🙈

On a side note:

On saturday before the 24h race started I was curious and wanted to see what time I could achieve in Forza for the TTs we have at the moment.
When I started the xbox I saw that they have a new endurance online series. 17laps LeMans in the new Porsche Hypercar.

Jumped right into qualifying and as soon as I got through the Ford chicanes 2 cars were coming straight at me 💀 Qualified on P7 and within the first minute of racing i got crashed into and bumped into like I was playing Wreckfest 😂

Thought to myself "Jup, nothing has changed in the last 7 months" 😂

Also it looked aweful and drove like ****. Can't wrap my head around that I once thought Forza drives better then GT 🤦‍♂️

I guess once you got into GT there's no going back 😅

BWX
Not exactly straightforward to drive! In serious need of weight reduction and racing brakes.
Tried it on flat screen / wheel, no aids, weak ABS. Got down below gold but still felt pretty slow.

If I may...It looks like the rear was pretty stable and glued to the track during turn in. If you can kick it loose slightly while trail braking into the corner, you can rotate the car a lot and give you a much shallower exiting angle. This way you can pretty much floor it instead of feathering the throttle worrying about oversteer during corner exit.

I really enjoy watching on-boards of RW fast laps at Nordschleife. I find it quite remarkable how recognizable everything is and how much the game matches up to the reality. As you say, not perfect...but damn it's still pretty amazing and really gives you a unique perspective on what's happening. There's a tangible "I've been there" feeling...

So is there enough interest in this for us to run it? And is the method here (using average gtp scoreboard position for the best 8 of 10 TTs) the one to use? Is so we can start with TT80 as a new 'season' and I'll report on it along with the usual Thursday end-of-TT updates.

We could do a minimum say 4 TT to qualify for entry.
With my rubbish status at the 'Ring, I'd love to start at 81 too!
I forgot about this idea. :indiff: Here are the results after round 2, which is TT81. The 'rules' will be:
  • Each mini-championship runs over 10 TT events.
  • A driver must have taken part in at least 4 of those 10 TT events to qualify.
  • Score is each driver's placement on this group's scoreboard
  • The two worst performances for each driver are removed.
  • To build a bit of anticipation, I will only apply the >=4 and remove worst 2 rules at the end of the last week.
As ever, shout if you see errors or weirdness.

This makes me feel much faster than I am. 🤯😂😂🔥

Great stuff, the competition is close among the close neighborhoods !

I could blame the BOP for my poor performance, but we don't have the BOP, I'm just slow in my own

After spending last week grinding the 787b at le mans, I was able to improve DR A from 1/3 to 2/3 bar filled. My first attempts back were in the 44's. IDK how I got into 41 before. Watch Tidgney video and used his ghost, I was slowly starting to whittle off time. I have a sub 40 in my pace, so I'll be back for more. IDK how you guys are finding 2-3 more seconds.

Can I register for this? I did the last dozen (except Suzuka as the car was faster than the frequency of my monitor) and had fun doing it. The results were quite okay.

Thanks
