Too bad that Yaris is a bit low on power and quite fwd biased as it toasts front tires. Proper awd and a bit more power would be a lot more fun on a rally cross circuit. Ive used the Yaris with a tune-up and adjustable bias in this track for fun earlier, but it seems PDI for some reason wants to aim for "hard-to-drive -realism" in these TTs. That Viper @ Autopolis on a set of Corolla spec tires was nothing short of a joke. Are they so pissed that american cars are actually catching up in finess like the new ZR1 and Mustang, that they want to over compensate by making an american car ride terrible tires in a tiny japanese track? 😁

Wow only 1.7% of people inside gold at Le Mans! It's weird I'm part of it, I'm usually just outside gold in the super competitive TTs, and long laps with long straights are usually easier too.

Statistic just shows not many participated and even fewer put time in to it compared to average TT. Not a good result for a TT.

I'll be honest, I'm not gonna get gold here as this is day 1 and I feel close to my limit already! And the times will drop.
Also, not a big fan of having to do the cheaty bit at the start. Not because it's cheating, as it's a TT so everyone can do it, more because it's annoying and it ruins the rhythm. Without doing the cheaty reverse bit, best I have done is a 47.999
These TTs are definitely getting tougher that's for sure. (or I'm getting older/slower)?

I put a lot of time into it. Still only got a weak silver but it has me at 58. Definitely less people taking part, but it's a pretty tough event too.
the past few have been pretty tough for sure...for me at least.

This new one looks like a silver at best for me.

Going to be a no to this new TT. I never understood that track and having to restart every lap on such a short lap is irritating.
I did give it a go just to proof myself wrong.....5 laps later all invalided (which is good since I didn't post a time), I decided to skip this one.
Prediction.....one of the alien will find a trick or got lucky and post a time 1/2 a second quicker than 2nd place and knock a thousand people out the gold range 🙈🙈

Well did not know that, but now I do... so we need to reverse before start line in order to get 0.3 sec ? faster lap time? well that might be annoying....

So after the Sarthe humiliation, I was very motivated to score the next TT in yellow.
But apparently, the spanish dance will be MUCH more complicated than expected...
To get some help, I've painted my Yaris with Spanish colours but it's not really efficient for now.
I've spent my morning with the Yaris and I'm in a medium silver, for now.
S1: 13.269 - My best S1 is 2 tenths faster but apparently, it's possible to be much more faster here using a trick...
S2: 34.890 - Slowly, it's getting better and better but there are still lot of tenths to gain to enter the gold mine.
Will I shaved the extra sec?

Top 2 times doing the reverse to the barrier trick before the start, gains you about 2.5 tenths down the first straight.

Been playing nothing but EA WRC for the past month or so, think it might have shown!
What a fun combo! Really enjoyable to throw around.
Worth noting I had absolutely no luck with this on pad. Car refuses to rotate where it needs to to carry speed in, doesn't want to put the power down angled the right way - all around miserable. Did 30 miles on pad with a best of 47.0 and within 3 laps on wheel I was at 46.7, another 10 or so and I'm at 46.2.
The disparity for pad users right now seems rough, the Le Mans TT shows the same issue.

I've torn another chunk off in the Yaris spin machine, still in silver but a tenth off the current Gold (which keeps dropping
)
Use of the handbrake seems to prove quite useful, albeit a little bit pot luck, I spotted the ghost I'm following using it so tested it out and it definitely helps (particularly turn 5 where rotation is really tough on a controller)
My best effort so far
I'll keep plugging away even though La Sarthe keeps calling me to come back and experience more pain

This TT can suck it. If I lose my year-long gold streak from this then PD and P1 are on my naughty list for 2024. This combo is infuriating.

I didn't saw Tidgney use it in his guide.
Plus, sliding will slow your car down, maybe I'm wrong but it's not the best move here.

I agree wholeheartedly. I've NEVER liked this track from the day they added it to the game and I still don't like it. It's going to take some sort of miracle for me to get a gold in this one I think.

What a ****ing awful combo this is, and the cheat bit at the start just makes it even worse. This might be the worst ever time trial for me. Come on PD, you can do better than this.
