went back to Daytona CE to do some tests on sector 3 that I spent a good chunk of time recently, did not perceived any change on controller (but that's only me, other may have a very different PoV)*EDIT... what I wanted to say it will influence ongoing TT in the middle of TT, we had that once before, curious to see what will be the outcome now
Yes, indeed!, reading those lines feels like a big change on the physics, i am very curious how this will effect the Brands Hatch...hmmmm... after the update... among other things

Actually your initial "Go to bed" message just woke me up nicely, I was not feeling it at all, but it gave me a nice motivational boost
And sorry to say that I managed to beat your amazing .090 lap, not by much, but enough

Yeah, thanks for the nice words, and I agree, @ERAZER is untouchable when he wants it, he beat me in the Focus TT, and also here again
My lap:
I had by far my best S3 split but chickened out in the death chicane, just took it too careful and lost couple of hundreds, maybe even a tenth, who knows, but I just didn't want to ruin another good lap and I wanted to go to sleep at 4AM
It's been an amazing battle @Dan_Tes , I hope we have many more in the future
Oh mate, sometimes it be like that. Now get on that Testarossa and show us what you can do!@Dan_Tes what a shame I didn't notice the short shifting more early....
And what a shame I thought downtime would be 8am ..... I had only a very short window because that turned out to be 7 AM 🤣🙈
I think I ran 5 laps in the .7xx after each other and downtime kicked in so no further progression....🙈🙈
Just giving it a go now blip, I’ll come back later with my thoughtsHopped on to do a quick physics test with the Testarossa, definitely felt a difference driving with a wheel.
Main thing seems to be braking, possibly the ABS isn't kicking in so much and it feels like you need to brake harder for longer. Was using weak before and tried normal too, both seemed to have this change.
Based on the braking it feels like getting the same laptimes as before will be tough, but the car also feels more settled, less snappy, so perhaps time lost braking can be made up elsewhere.
FFB is also a level stronger, I moved it back from 8 to 7 in game to get the same feel. Feels a bit more even, less spiky. The understeer vibrations seemed a bit different too, bit of a higher frequency?
Interested to see if other wheel users feel a difference or if it's just all in my head 😵💫
Ooohhh.hmmmm... after the update... among other things

- The wireless controller steering algorithm has been updated:

yeah, awaiting feedback from aliens like you regarding analogue stick changes...Ooohhh.
Ok just had a little go; I agree with just about everything @bliprunner says; most obvious in the Testarossa is braking, there’s definitely less braking force there and the car is more willing to understeer. It feels more lifelike on the whole but the Ferrari itself loses its beautiful balance through paddock. I can’t see how anyone could go as quickly as before in it but we will see. The other effects, stronger force feedback and an even worse vibration when understeering are all there. No update for reprojection settings in VR either so on the whole, the worst update they’ve ever done in my humble opinion!
What about the new trial then? Well. It’s wild. I had to turn max torque on the wheel up to 10 to get any feel whatsoever, which made it a real workout! Throttle control is key as is being VERY careful on curbs, so much for the physics update.. this thing loves to spin at high speed for very little reason. I tried a few combinations but CSA Strong, ABS weak and TC0 worked best for me. It does mean some serious throttle control coming out of prima variante and I found myself short shifting to 4th out of some corners to get traction.
It’s not without joy but just feels a bit one dimensional. Arcadey as @Vule says 🫤

Well, I do not know the expression in English but in French we say "with some yes, we can put Paris in bottle"
Yeah, I'm sure I'll have a happy time here at Monza. Some of the chicanes are not fun.New TT: The Gran Turismo F3500-A @ Monza
Bop On, Racing Mediums
Happy hunting Folks
Huge tip for this one is that I would recommend using Traction control 2... I made the top 10 with it at the time and I'd argue while it can't get rank 1... a low 23 is possible with it on 2!
yeah my initial foray on the controller this morning in which I didn't make it into bronze has me concerned lol. We'll see how it goes with the wheel later today but I'm mentally preparing myself for silver...Ugh what a horrible horrible combo this new TT is! This one is going to separate the men from the old men. My poor reactions need a much slower car to work with.
Early thoughts are that I might have to settle for silver this time. Good luck with it guys
I'm also awaiting feedback... from you 😂 (also an alien) about how this comment changes our motion steering with high downforce cars...yeah, awaiting feedback from aliens like you regarding analogue stick changes...
