Well most people will be glad and grateful that the extra part of the chicane is gone, meaning they can get shorter lap times. So overall, this won't be a difficult TT at all. However if some are new to Fuji, then I'd do the circuit experience to learn each Sector and the correct braking points; by watching the demo ghost. That's how you can learn the fundamentals for any certain track. Good luck to everybody. Fuji looks nicer since they added that huge building/landmark near the last turn, (before you head to the finish).

Logged on last night for a last minute attempt to bag a million at Nurburgring. Took me more than 8 abandoned laps to finally set a lap time, and only just into silver! Frustrating car to drive - won't be driving it again unless I have to...
The Porsche on the other hand. That was actually really fun! Only did a handful of laps and currently also a slow silver but will be back for more. Love the car, and the track is an interesting one...
EDIT: And just now seeing @half_sourly post above I was the last silver on the GTP board at Nurburgring and currently last silver at Alsace! Need to find some time (both on the circuit and at home to do some laps!)...

Oh yes, the new TT is a fun one!
Although i'm not a huge fan of Fuji (but who is that anyway?), a 4WD car in the wet sounds like fun and the Subaru delivers!
After about 160 Km i ended up with this:
My optimal was a high 1:49. Just in case the gold time will drop under 1:50, there's still hope.

Like @NAXEHT , I found the first laps disappointing: standing on the brake for a Titanic-like deceleration, the absence of e-shift that makes this car unique, the outside engine noise that I find strange, and this stupid overtake button...
Only advantage, I did not need an oil change at GT auto despite the 658 kms traveled 😁
Happy to be in the .36 club, I had maybe 0.100 seconds left but @crome 's HUGE rear wing was too distracting in the 2/3 of the circuit.
I used to concentrate on one race a week, so this morning, discovering the Porsche GT1 and the Alsatian countryside.
What a pleasure to find a car that brakes !
After 5 laps behind my pilot fish @Dan_Tes , I’m in gold. I think it should be fun for many pilots.

Had 8 laps at Alsace this morning before work and I seemed to have clicked more with the big 3 curves (2 left and then the right banked curve) Ended up taking another half second off and into the 1:54's, and pleased to be near the Top 1000 and certainly further up the friends list this time (I'm usually around 10-14)
There's still a lot of time for me in the curves and I need to nail the entry points each time (which seems even more crucial on a pad) otherwise, there's not gonna be much more improvement I feel.

True Mate. Even though the track conditions would be more suitable for Inters, Wets even play their part perfectly well. But it doesn't make much sense as when driving & seeing ahead, the track seems just a bit more than damp but when seeing behind, it feels set because of the heavy spray.

Ran the Subaru car with Wets & it took a few laps to understand where to push & where to back down. After running a good number of laps with progressive best laps, I was satisfied for just getting into Gold category with 1:51:185.
This TT is a welcome change of sorts because of running in wet conditions. My optimal lap is a 1:50:844. The surprising thing is when I again drove with Inters, my optimal was again 1:50:8xx which means that the Wets & Inters are similar in feel & grip. It's only the nitty gritties of the both the compounds that will make the difference. I too feel the Wets though provide more grip through the whole lap especially in the last set of turns.

Of course i have overlooked the possibility to choose a tyre. So i went out on W again, mostly following Tidgney's ghost. The driving line felt a bit strange until i get used to it.
I don't follow the ghost everywhere, especially in the "new" right hander (the shortcut in sector 3). There it feels i can carry more speed thru the turn and avoid getting to far over the curb at the exit by staying on the left side of the track for bracking.
I had an almost perfect lap for my standards, but lost it all in the 2 final turns. My optimal was a 1:49,365, but this was the best full lap:

Was a little worried when I saw Fuji was in the wet that it would be a bit of a spin and bin fest. Thankfully turned out to be quite a simple drive following @Tidgney.

This is really interesting as I raced at Fuji for the first time last week and quite liked the track except for that "needless mikey mouse chicane" ......well ..... here we are eh!

This obviously won't hold for that alien badge and I have less and less time each week to play as school demands keep rising. Really fun combo though and if I do get back to it I know there are at least another 3 tenths out there for me.

Had a feeling the new TT would suit me, managed a 50.7 within about 10 laps which is unusual for me to gold that fast, I still am a second off gold in the Porsche for example. There's grip in this TT, I think the ask for gold will drop closer to 1.50 flat.
The final corner is savage, you can lose great swathes of time so easily. This track is 1000X better without that stupid chicane, really is a far nicer circuit in this guise.
