I know it's still early but 2.5% off for a top 150 placements sounds kind of insane. I worry that this will similar to the Catalunya rally TT where the aliens were much much faster than regular people.

It’s really interesting as the Oval one was basically Free Credits and the event with the highest amount of people not get a prize was that rally one at Catalunya….

They giveth with one hand and taketh away with the other…🤣

I haven't put in a lap yet, but I had the same thought. On a rally I assume there's a huge opportunity for the best players to be way faster than the typical standard deviation. Thankfully this course is short enough that maybe the time isn't quite there.

I don't mean to discourage you, but this TT had a 45.187 sec best time and only 0.9% of people got gold.

And linking to earlier chat, 92,812 of the 144,852 participants got no medals...

I feel prepared to settle for silver on this one. We will see. Optimum gives a tiny bit of hope but I wouldn't be surprised if some rally god still finds insane time that can't be replicated by humans.

Just tried the new TT... well, I'm still outside of the bronze (see my signature LOL) but I really enjoyed it. Gonna try again to actually get some decent time but it's still fun, no matter what!

EDIT: got into the bronze with a 1:05:591 or so, again thanks @Tidgney, still crazy fun!!

oh well... as expected, I'll have a hard time with this TT... 10 laps and barely close to bronze.

Not sure why, sometimes after last turn, the car stays in 4 and is sluggish.

Hard to take turn 1 without stopping completely or sliding into the wall. Can't find grip.

Watched Tigdney's video. As a perennial bronze I'm aware of my own limitations, as such I learned that in several cases I have to shift one more gear down compared to the gold drivers. Case in point: turn 1 in this TT. I have to shift down to 3rd to properly maintain a tight exit while hugging the inside and not touch the wall. In the last corner I also drop to 3rd and go up to 4th when I'm already fully on the straight and not sliding anymore.

Okay, the Lake Louise TT is very tough. Managed 1:07.5 after about 22 minutes and then called it quits 🤣 Got gold on Daytona and just picked up my bronze from the Lancer TT so can't complain too much 😁

Not sure if this advice will help, but you can test and see. When Europe countries had Michelin TT, P1 was using chase cam. In T1 I am literally staring into the snow wall from bumper cam so I would guess that chase cam can show you from behind where the car is positioned in the turn, which can tell you what you need to do, throttle or not.
Also try to pump the throttle and observe where the car is, if you see that you will slide out, ease up on the throttle.

I use the bonnet/hood cam, works for me, plenty close, I think I'd **** myself using the bumper cam :) Never used VR but must be awesome, exhilarating and scary at the same time!

VR is awesome, facing a snow wall while looking through the passenger door isn’t 🤣

I started my Thursday remote evening with good motivation, but it took me so long to get anywhere.. I couldnt even gold it for some reason, and that's a long time ago .....
It's like the ghosts I fallowing had better tires 🤣

But with a good glass whisky aside I sort of beginning to understand..

115 and 2.22% 🤣🤣 what in the.....

This one is going to shred some goldvibes 🤣

Catalunya was easier, at least for me. Gold wasnt so hard there, while here I will settle for silver (managed a 1:02.7xx). I won't push more, or I'll go insane ^_^

I found Catalunya really difficult but I was still bumper cam at the time.

The snow stuff I struggle with, but it does teach some cool things like riding a slide.

But this one will not be one I try hard on. I don’t like rallying on a wheel and VR so I’d end up doing it on a controller but I am not doing that.
