That‘s the beauty of competition. Always pushing you beyond your limits.

I‘d say if you hit a perfect lap, a below 7:40 could technically be possible
I find it mesmerizing, really incredible stuff.

By the way, I assume you're using a wheel, is that correct?

You should post videos from driving views (bumper) with speed and so on, it would be more helpful, to see where you brake, accelerate and so on.

The cinematic replays cuts a lot of informations and is not always pertinent as the car is out of view on many occasions.

Got to give it a go, and it will give me a pretext to buy the NSX :D I don't expect to go under 8min as I am struggling with this track and cars that have much more grip, braking and power.

I was about to say this earlier, but then I thought maybe it's because Sergio knows there's plenty of room for improvement?

I have 10.000sqft of improvements so... I don't say that as a way to demonstrate how to drive on the ring, but to give us clues. Clues to good drivers which will be able to give advices, clues to bad drivers like me to get ideas on how to try one corner or another.

[Edit] Gave it a go after lunch. Managed a "brilliant" 8m20.395 on my first (and only) try. I'll come back for more.

Is there a way to show the driving details (accel, brake, speed and so on) without exposing the driver name? I made it a habit to avoid showing names (mine or other people in the same video when I post videos of online racing and so on)...

This is what i actually love with this game. Road cars from stock to mid range tunes.
I am using PS4 Pro with standard controller and the directional buttons. Been practicing with the stick on the controller lately.
just did 3 laps at 7:52, 52 and 51. I think i got 3 more seconds in me. I feel the difference between wheel and controller has grown or ive simply gotten worse at this :). Still fun though.

8:02.235 with 2 laps. I can probably get down to low to mid 7:50’s but definitely can’t touch 7:40’s like others have done. I’ll have to give it another try tomorrow.

Thank you. Maybe @SergioRZ could edit his first post with this and keep it updated so its easy to find?

I'm on a different boat... I know exactly how to do it, just having a really hard time executing it... my finger dexterity and being able to focus for that long are the main culprits. I managed to apply what I knew had to be done and lower my time substantially, but doing it more acutely and consistently is becoming a problem I'll probably not be able to overcome... but I'll try!

I'm not kidding with the way I control my fingers/hands... I mean, I have trouble writing an SMS on a phone! Let alone throwing the NSX around Nur! hehehehehe I think I'm not very well "wired" for this thing with sticks and buttons and all that ;)

One of my main problems (besides not being consistent) was that I didn't run the apex of turns like I should (and like I do in real life), so I was always, and still am, going around the apex... for some reason, when I'm looking at the screen, I'm having an incredible hard time measuring distances and figuring out the car physical proportions in relation to the road... I've been correcting that, it's a mental game, I just have to say to myself "turn in early" and "turn the wheel more" on almost every turn, and that worked very well, but I still miss the optimal lines a lot.... it's my brain tricking me to go wider, I don't know why...

Another big issue, is brake sensitivity... I'm braking too hard, it took me months (years?) to finally be able to modulate the accelerator, now I can do it more or less effectively, but the brakes... oh my... I'm a mess!

Then there's the consistency and focus problem, it's almost a miracle for me to run the entire lap without crashing or going off-road a couple of times, that obviously will keep me above 8 min :(

Well... it's not easy. But it's very rewarding, and fun! It's great to be the last on the leader board, I have so much room for improvement! ahahahaha ;)

Interestingly, I found that driving on cockpit view helps me a lot concerning the apex issue, probably because I have more visual references that I'm used to in real life, and also seeing the wheel on the screen give me a much better notion of what and how I'm turning... but it's less effective for other things...

I've always driven on that view where nothing of the car is seen (bumper view?)... but I'm tempted to try and explore the cockpit view more, it also looks so pretty :D

I haven't been working on this because I'm preparing to move to a new house during the next few days... actuallly I'm pretty sad to know that the next days and maybe weeks will probably be very difficult for me to play GT7 at all :( But I'll sure try!
Good luck with your move. Not sure how long this will be a thing but nothing prevents us from adding additional "stock" vehicles every 1 or 2 weeks to keep it fresh.

I just bought this car and tried yesterday with 3 laps, so much fun.
First lap was 7.59 then 7.57 and third was 7.53 using just abs weak.
I think I could get up to 10 seconds off eventually with a load of laps.

I use controller even though I have a g29, most of the time I just like to use controller.
