You are fast dude. This place really skews the chart!@Dan_Tes , @crome ,@half_sourly ,
I appreciate your kind winds and insights.
It is true that it does not take as large an effort as it once did to accomplish "Gold", indeed sometimes almost no effort at all.
Imposter syndrome is probably as close to an accurate description of how I feel as a non-mental health professional could get.
I imagine that there are multiple things that play into my perceptions concerning results.
The 80/20 rule, wherein you can achieve the 80th percentile at something with only a 20% effort, but the last 20% requires 80% of the effort.
The insane times that the very best accomplish. Although the average results of my last 10 time trials are better than 99.6% of those who posted a time, the time differential is still 1.65% off of the number 1 times. That is not even half way between "achieving gold" and the top. I am aware that this is why they are called 'aliens', but my mindset has always been that there is no sense in doing anything with the intention not to do your very best.
The realization that my advancing age(68) is closing the window rapidly on any attempt to get better.
Again, thank you to everyone who has pushed, dragged, kicked, badgered and humiliated me into this much progress.
And thanks to those who have encouraged, offered tips/insights and been generally supportive.
Regards,
Ken
I was fortunate to just hang on in front of you.It hurts loosing gold in the final hours, 564 my time and gold 533...

Congrats to all brave contestants and special greetings to those with am medal! Well done! Here are some statistics for TT114 at 24 Heures du Mans Racing Circuit in Gr.1, a surprisingly tough one, especially given the results of the previous Gr.1 event here (where any Gr.1 could be used). Clearly the older Group C cars are more of a handful.
