Good luck finding a track capable of supporting 80+ cars.
In real life, there's only three tracks that can. Dubai, Nurburgring, and Spa. For GTR2? I'd assume none.
 
My Tokyo R246 track can handle 104 cars...though I call shenanigans. I'll have to try soon.

And a computer, which doesn't cost a bajillion dollars, capable of running said track with 80 cars...

You could always split races or make people who qualify too low not be able to race.
