Thanks for Alex helping me to set up my steering wheel
Try some GT3 cars and Ruf RGT-8

you guys driving auto or manual?
I'm using both at the moment, pushing my way to Manual. So far I did a few laps at SPA with Manual transmission and I did a 2:25 👍

Time to beat is 2:20:scared:

I did a quick race the other night with the McLaren @ Spa, before setup the wheel, laptime is around 2:22..

prefer the Ruf for now, will do some more testing later tonight

For Spa and the RUF try setting up your car so you can attack the kerbs. Its not like in GT were a soft setup is always slower. Also Spa has super long straights so you wont need much brake cooling that brings you a good amount of time. Set the brake duct to 15% or so

15% Jeeez. I'm using 40-50%.
Brake temperatures hover around the 750-850 degrees C.
I tired 30% and got the 'Over heated brakes trophy. 1000 degrees C :scared:

2:21.754
2:21.800
2:21.766

These lap times got me the Consistency King trophy at Spa.

Damn the tuning at PCARS is just insane! If that's how tuning is supposed to look like,
Then what the F:censored:K Was I doing in GT6!!!

yeah brake tempretures are different from car to car.
On the Pc you can download yourself an app which shows you the temps all the time for your cellphone. Helps with setting up the car. Under hardbraking this carbon brakes can hold a thousand degree Celsius which is 1872 F easily you should cool them back to 1000 at the straights though. You got the trophy because its meant to be in celsius its buggy.

Hey, I would like to join an endurance race sometime so I will keep an eye on this thread. Im from Europe, not sure if thats a problem if the race is hosted in he US?

Welcome.
Usually we run them at 7:00 PM EST US time. On Thursday nights.
Which could be tough for you.
This Sunday night will be an exception. Since Monday is a US holiday.
We'll travel to Spa with the GT3 class cars at 8:00 PM EST.

You're more than welcome to attend. If not. Continue watching this section for races in your time zone.

Thanks for your reply. That would be around 12 - 1 a.m. over here, so that might be a bit difficult, but maybe Ill join sometime :)

so we did the last race @ Spa for 5 laps in the GT3 class...

choice of Austin Martin, McLaren, BMW, Mercedes and RUF....

I was choosing the livery for the McLaren but suddenly the race has started thus I have to stick with the Austin Martin.

10 mins qualify session and on my first 2 laps I was like "man... this car has no brakes.... have to brake so much earlier then the MP4 and Ruf..."

on the 3rd lap I found out the reason... the Austin has a higher top-end.

adjust my driving a little bit and eventually got a 2:21.5xx....

fastest lap during the race was also a 2:21.5xx

So far I have tried 3 cars @ Spa: Ruf, McLaren and Austin Martin...

laptime are 2:22.2xx, 2:22.0xx and 2:21.5xx

still doesn't mean I am fastest or faster in the Austin, but because I got more familiar with the track in the GT3 cars thus faster laptime.

The conclusion is: The laptime between these cars are VERY VERY similar, you have to choose between the different characteristic of each.

Choose Wisely.

I will be in the ruf. Love the car and its been my fav since day one. I feel there is diff characteristics for each car so it comes down to preference. My best lap so far is a 219.7. Have only done it once but there is more there just needs to be the perfect lap. I would say anything 2:20 to 2:23will be good. We all know race pace will be slower.

2:19.7 is very fast Mphile, have you play around with the setup of it's out-of-the-box?

man... gotta squeeze another 2 sec.... :boggled:

an the GTP race is this weekend.... I'm gonna be a bi-polar man this week switching between PCars and GT6.... plus waking up at 4am for qualify and stuffs... :boggled::boggled:

2:17:7

If someone needs setup help for every GT3 just PM me it can be very confusing if you have no experience with it. I am happy to help.

Post one for us, pick any gt3 car dosent matter.i would like to test the difference. Im running out of box set up and love it, just curious how much better it can get? I did some tunning and didnt notice a difference really.

Relax mazda. You'll get faster with time.
I'm sure the first corner will decide everything.
Just don't jump the green light. If you do. You'll be served a drive through penalty.

I'm sure a few here will admit they got it.

@MRTeam are wednesday races ever coming back? I'm a sucker for nostalgia, so I'm still running GT6 on thursdays. I'd like to race as much as possible, so I might be hopping back and forth or missing some thursdays. Hopefully not too many scheduling conflicts. :D

All races at 7EST? Even sunday?

That's right.
Real. Real as it gets. Just like the real sweat pouring from your pores.

Sounds to me like everyone needs to find out what real tire wear is for THEIR particular car.
Tire management gentlemen.

This ain't NO GT6
This is for real ;)
