Just had a look under the dressing, covered in blood and green pus. :ill:

Brooks to race at Suzuka East
Team RPM Driver, Tom Brooks will race at today's TOCA Suzuka East event despite speculation that he would sit this event out once more to recover from his injury. Brooks severed the tendon in his ankle less than two weeks ago and after sitting out the first event due to safety concerns he will take to the track once more at Suzuka East, this news is brought to us after team owner Alex Kazen asked Tom to sit out the event to recover fully. Brooks had the stitches in his ankle removed yesterday and he made this statement on his condition and determination to race:

"I'm in a heck-load of pain after having my stitches removed and even though the wound has opened back up slightly, it's bleeding a lot and there is a slight infection, I'm determined to race, whatever the cost. Alex told me to sit this event out and that he would secure another driver until I was fully fit but I politely declined his offer and told him that I would only ask him to ask another driver if the pain was unbearable or the bleeding was awful. Hopefully it won't be but I'm off to the hospital tomorrow as a precautionary measure and I will then make a final decision as to whether I will race."

Joe it can do 53.0s and maybe on a perfect lap break 52s :). (From my test results)

Well, I'm back up the hospital for treatment at this ungodly hour. Apparently steri-strips might do the job...

In other news the second half of RPM is very ill and unable to talk.. but is still determined to host tonight.

Jog on mate, and try and get that Volvo fitted with hand controls. Or something....

Tom

Actually a bit of both. Jog on was a joke, but Alex Zanardi, the Champcar driver who lost his legs in an accident in 2001, raced WTCC for a few years after with a BMW fitted with special "hand controls".

So I've seen, a stand up guy indeed. All the best anyway. :D
