Today is the 3rd anniversary...

...and I was expecting some gift...
...or a small update with something nice...
...and it seems that nothing will arrive...

Shouldn't Marketing department be playing with these things today?
Did they do anything on the 1st anniversary? Or the 2nd anniversary? Why did you think it would change for the 3rd anniversary?

No, but some just do - which to me seems admitting that things dont go as good as planned (begging for people to stay on the game).

"3rd anniversary..."
I didnt know nor did I care, it just made me curious what kind of thread this going to develop into.

Maybe not keeping the same mistake...
Joke aside, it would have been nice.
We get (near) monthly updates for free and as Max pointed out everyone gets something for free on their birthday.

Of course more free stuff is always nice but it's a strange thing to complain about given no precedent has been set for this kind of thing.

I paid 80 bucks, where did you guys get it for free?
(And yes I'm currently not happy with gt7)

Edit: it was actually 75€
Im sure you dont pay for the updates again.
The software you use simply is updated in irregular intervals with a bit of new things to do at no additional cost.

I preordered the 25th anniversary bonus edition and am not happy with everything in GT7 but I play it most of the time because of the great community in GTPlanet and this is for free! 🎮🏁

Do you ever see parents celebrating the birthday of their child and think to yourself "I deserve presents as well!" even though it isn't your birthday?

PD are the parents, they developed and published GT7, not us. Let PD celebrate their games birthday how they want to and remember that PD give you a gift for your birthday, even though you're not their child. I think that is generous enough!

It was a weird third year.

If you ignore the July update, every other update was pretty much the standard cars+events+engine swaps+Sophy+Scapes, no real new QoL or features, so you could be forgiven for thinking the game was winding down somewhat and focus was on GT8.

But then there was also an update that completely re-did the physics, which is not a thing you spend time and money on if you're ending support of a game soon. So, yeah, I feel it's odd.

I paid for the game at launch and all the updates since then have been free. Where are you getting updates you had to pay for?

…and what about a slice of cake? 🎂😇

Hey, I got a virtual cake on my birthday from PD! Don't you get cake?

Also as an aside - are you that kid that lives across the road from me and drives that old Civic Type R? Damn kid insists on idling it for 10 minutes before driving, and the exhaust resonates through my home!
