A US policeman confiscated a marijuana joint the size of a baseball bat as smokers lit up for National Weed Day at the weekend.
A big cloud of smoke filled the air as students from the University of California gathered in Santa Cruz on Saturday to celebrate the event, held around the world on April 20, KSBW reports.
But one marijuana smoker took the opportunity to get giggly a little too far after he crafted a joint weighing almost a kilogram.
Video shows a policeman carrying the joint with two hands through the crowds as students boo.
Student Gennady Tsarinsky, 25, who is suspected of creating and bringing the giant joint to the celebrations, was arrested.
He was arrested because the joint violated the weight limit set for carrying marijuana, which is one ounce (28 grams).
While the drug has not been legalised in California, police say that shutting down the event would be more costly than patrolling it.
