The 2013 Tokyo Game Show is scheduled for September 19-22, 2013
It will be open to the general public on September 21-22, 2013

The Tokyo Game Show is an annual trade show for video game developers held at Makuhari Messe convention center just outside of Tokyo. Held since 1996, it is one of the world's biggest game shows, which companies use as a venue to launch new products and show off their latest innovations and technology. The show is held over four days. The first two days are business days for invited members of the industry and media, while the third and fourth day are open to the general public.

Throughout the trade show you can see the latest game debuts and trailers, as well as try out the newest demos from your favorite developers such as Sony, Microsoft, Konami and Square Enix. Although Nintendo does not attend the Tokyo Game Show (until 2001 they held their own trade show, and since then debut their new products at the E3 trade show in Los Angeles), they are well represented by the many game developers that create games for Nintendo platforms.

Okay, it's just a few weeks now to the Tokyo Gameshow. I think a good moment now to collect the best questions and maybe some reporter from GT planet can copy/paste our questions to Kaz / Translator san ??

Rules

- Please make it simple, no long stories and a simple question at the end.
- Your question isn't possible or too complaining.
- No wishes about cars & tracks (Porsche is the forbidden word)! Other wishes about game elements from this thread are okay.
- If you like a question, quote it, don't make it 'another' question.

- Try to define your question in 1 line. Keep it simple.

Game on :)

Yahoo! Okay, okay, this is my first time giving out questions. Umm... Ahh, heres some. :D

Q:Will A-Spec and B-Spec be fused into one Spec again like in GT4?

Q: Will there be an Event Creator for Offline?

Q: Will there be Standing starts in races again?

Can we change the color from race cars?
Like the SLS GT3 in the demo and the Pagani Zonda R in GT5.

I would like to know whose idea it was to add flags to the driver's names in the on-screen display during the race instead of the much needed distance on track compared to other cars.

Because it's really important to know, if the driver in front of me is Japanese or Italian, but to know how far I'm behind or ahead of the people around me...must be useless information, right? :banghead:

It can't really be that hard to implement either.

Also, still nobody asked about the meaning of the numbers next to the tyre symbols (in demos always fixed at "10"). Is it tyre temperature or wear, brake temperature or wear...?

The Sony press event will be held on September 9

Every GT game has been flawless except for the sounds in my opinion. Will these be improved for GT6?

Maybe. Extra emphasis on the may, not the be.

Kaz
Actually, we are doing research right now to generate the sounds in a completely different way. I’m not sure if it is actually going to make it into GT6 in time yet, but we’ll have to see.

...

We’ve been working on a new system for generating sounds for a few years now, we just haven’t made that breakthrough yet, and we’re still working. That’s what we’re aiming for – to make that breakthrough – so that we have something of a high quality to show.

In terms of physics we were able to show that, but for sound simulation, not yet.

Q: Will we ever (maybe for GT7) get really new physics engine (not another updated version of the GT4/GT5 engine), which will work well not only at high speeds?

Will the BSpec mode be improved? Previous generations offered a BSpec in which you could speed up the progress so that it wouldn't feel so long and drawn out. This feature although not realistic was amazing!!! It cut race times to a third of there length. If we have to have BSpec please make it less boring. (Please)

I was soooo close to make a broad, stupid, sweeping comment about why it would be a good thing to know a drivers nationality with regards to certain nationalities...uhmm "unique" driving style.

I'm glad I restrained myself, that would open a can of worm for sure. :dunce:

Now, what we do need is realtime data(in second, hundreds ect) for the car in front and behind you.

My question - "You mentioned the revised sound engine in an earlier interview, considering GT6 releases in less then 3 months what is the current outlook of it being implemented in the game?"

Is there anything that you wanted to be in GT6, that isn't?

Will the improved customization you talked about in May be applicable to racing car's or just road cars?

The conference on Monday September 9 will be broadcast by streaming and translated for all the major languages so it is supposed to be the leading conference for SONY TGS and will give news of international significance.

In addition to Sony’s press conference at TGS, Andrew House SCE president, Masayasu Ito senior VP, and Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida will be delivering the opening keynote speech for TGS 2 weeks later.

It will work well, boot up GT6 and it wont be long till it makes you curse about something.

Yeah especially if there's an event like the vettel challenge.

Does the new graphics renderer allow for wet looking reflective roads on tracks with weather, such as Nurburgring?

With the announcement at the 15th Anniversay event at Silverstone, you had mentioned a partnership with Yokohama Rubber & KW Automotive to obtain new tire and suspension modelling in GT6. Can we see any more of these partnerships/collaberations with automotive tuning companies and parts manufacturers to increase the realism in GT6 or future Gran Turismo titles?

What is the extent of the customization options?

(Specifically, what sort of items can we add/swap out, and could something as simple as stripes and a racing number be added?)
