Somewhere.
yep, Tommi thought he was McRae...

leading in day 3, he managed to roll 5 times, ending his rally...

what he didn't know is that Grunholm would get disqualified, hence he didn't need to push that hard...

Burns got it, Sollberg 3rd.

I'm predicting a championship in the future years for Sollberg. He's got the talent.

Yeah - what the hell was going on that final day?!?

There was a great comment on Autosport about the DQ:
'Gronholm had tried to deflect the attention of the media by saying: "What happened this morning was the car wouldn't start. I was trying everything. It kept on stopping on the road section. The protest is just Subaru bull."

He was wrong, however, as there was no protest from Subaru. An event official had been on the spot (not surprising just 10 metres outside parc ferme!) and that's who blew the whistle.

Ironically, had the mechanics telephoned Gronholm with instructions they would have got away with it! Instead, by being face to face within the 1km exclusion zone then they had clearly broken the rules. The team management accepted the decision and, sportingly it has to be said, declined to appeal.

Did you see Colin's spin - pretty incongruous error - fancy stalling it like that.

And now Burns has been disqualified for having an underweight flywheel! This rally is turning into a bit of a comedy.

So Sainz takes the win, his first in two years, and ties Makinen as the (hated American expression coming up) all-time winningest driver. And interestingly, Makinen took the record after inheriting the win resulting in the disqualification of a driver (Loeb @ Monte).
