Who thinks 4 weeks is too much time for a time trial?

I mean, this starts to become down to, who have more time avaiable to do countless laps...

I think 4 weeks are pretty much fair because it gives a reasonable time for the participants to prepare themselves. Well not only just a countless of laps but also other activities like exercices, good nap, eating an healthy food, studying driving technique through books, and so on.

You are correct in what you are saying, but it's a time of year where people want to take a break & go on holiday. However, perhaps PD could create a time limit, such as only being able to drive the circuit for a number of hours/days/laps etc

Yes and no..

Some gamers, me included was'nt able to get any seat time in during the first two weeks, so for me, it's just a 2 week tt..
It allows more people to have a shot.

And yes, it does come down a lot to how much time one can put in.

1 hour/day for 4 weeks, or 4 hours/day for 1 week..

I think the format now is ok and fair.

It would be interesting if they say limited to a 4 day qualifying slot with qualifying window announced a long time before so if anyone is serious about it will make sure to give it a go. I think current formula is better though as gives people outside qualifying slots on the intial few days more time to learn to get faster and work way up the leaderboards.

If you work full time your gonna benefit from a longer competition. How can every top player in the world take 4 days off work at a certain time of the year is not practical work may be busy and they won't let you take a holiday
4 weeks is perfect:tup:

I think, 4 weeks is ok. Some people don't have so much free time to spent, because of their work, school exams or holidays. Don't forget GT Academy is more to advertise GT6, Sony and Nissan, than make gamers in Professional pilots. The more time the demo available the better is for the sponsors.

They could do it on two specified weekends to maximise chance of people taking part but I prefer it like it is as it gives more people the chance to compete.

I like it the way it is, means I get a little go in the weekdays due to work and get 2-3 hours at the weekend to really have a proper go.

I did mention this really early on in the academy and alot of people put in huge stints right at the start, and alot of people have burnt out very quickly. 4 Weeks, meant you could just take your time and build your lap up rather than hammer in a huge amount of hours in a short space of time.

Please let there no be limit. It is perfect as it is.

It good thing, not every one had so much time to practice and practice.
