Too much tire use, what am I doing wrong?

Hi, got back to driving my N1 skyline after quite a while, and I noticed that my front tires get used much quicker than my rear's. I tried stock VCD and control VCD set at 15, still they use at the same rate. Can I change something so they use at the rate they should. By the way, I'm using RS/RS.

It's usual for front tire to wear out first. It become faster on heavy car or FF/4WD car. If you want to reduce that, make it as FR as possible.

They wear out faster because the front tires have to pull the car and turn at the same time on a 4wd car. Thats also why they waste evenly on an Fr and really bad on the front in an FF.

but then the atesa has no use! it is made to avoid the understeering of 4wd cars. that means that it should just not be 4x4 when it turns.

It is adjustable using tuner part in real life.
And remember that it only function as 4wd when the rear loose traction (longitudinal G weaken when accelerate or the lateral G weaken when the cornering hard)

I think I may have gotten it the other way around, but GT4 does simulate atesa.

PERFECT BALANCE

That's awesome 👍. Do this mean skyline will keep up with supra with the same power to weight ratio in straight line (unlike GT2)?

PERFECT BALANCE
The Supra has better aerodynamics, and a bigger top speed, so I'm not sure, but the skyline is way faster in corners.
That maybe from 4wd behaviour. But if PD simulate 4 wheel steering in VSpec version too, it would be perfect 👍👍👍.
@milen, try reducing from BBC, reduce front camber, reduce front toe.

So, what about MR? More weight in the back may increase tire heat.

Off Topic...which skylines have this?
Adding some ballast at the rear make the rear tyre wear out faster, but I think it do not reduce the wear out speed of the front tire, maybe it increase it too (more total weight).
skyline having attesa? all R32, R33, R34 GTR version that do not converted to FR.
Vspec of R33 and R34 have better LSD and 4 wheel steering.

Well that's your problem right there. Obviously the tires are going to wear out quickly if you're on R4 tires! SOFT TIRES WEAR OUT QUICKLY. Put on R1(superhard) tires if you want them to last any distance at all.

Not only that, but it is a heavy car.

|2ev- all skyline GTRs(R32 through R34) have ATTESA-ETS.

It's not a word people, it's an acronym.
"Advanced Total Traction Engineering System for All - Electronic Torque Split"

what is the difference in using r1/r1?
don't get me wrong, I know harder tyres will last longer, but my point is not to have tres that last longer, but that use in the same way. sure, I could do a 5 lap race on r1's but then i finish with just warmed up tyres!!!

Why do you want to have the tires wear out evenly if you don't need them to last very long?

All that's going to happen is you're going to sacrifice performance for equal tire life. Tire life is only as long as the life of the tire(s) that take the most punishment. Either be able to change tires during races or deal with the disadvantages of AWD.
