You need a new everything, Souness won't take you anywhere, Blackburn would have got relegated last season if Souness had stayed and Newcastle offer him a job. Your board are stupid for getting rid of Bobby, it was a bad run but they didn't give him time to put that right and they got rid of him in such a disrespectful manner it's unbelievable. Youve got Jenas who is somehow worth 10 mil (god knows why) sell him, get the cash buy a decent player.

We couldnt get a string of good results without someone who could score and without someone who could provide. Losing to Man utd is expected so now we will see the true force of our new players!:D

Hopefully you'll do well enough to get into Europe next year. Jenas isn't worth more than a couple of million imo so thats a good sell.

This thread has been quiet for way too long. So what do you guys think about yesterday's performance? :)

To me, they looked a lot more confident. Some of those shots they took looked very promising. And Given was in his usual good form.

If they can get all their top guys back and keep them healthy, I think there's potential for a top four finish. What do you guys think? And should Souness stay?

I personally think the only reason Souness is still incharge is becuase of the injuries you've had. You did seem better yesterday but /Newcastle have been doing that having a good game then being mediocre at best for the next 5. They really frustrate me Newcastle because I like them but they're underachievers.

Nice to see an American with an interest in the Premiership 👍, I never noticed your location before.

Thanks! :)

Hate to say it's because of one person, but look at their record when Owen has played. They've lost only one game when he's played, and they've won only one game when he's injured.

I just think that if they could get all their guys healthy, they could really challenge for a place in the top four. I'm not going to say they would challenge the Roman (Abramovich) Army, but they could squeak into the top four.

You're right, the injuries have helped Souness keep his job. And even though I was one of the ones wanting him to be sacked at the beginning of the season, I have to agree with him now. Let him get all his players healthy and then judge him on merit.

Well I've always said the Premiership should, by judging teams by the players they have and not the form they're in be the usual top 3 and it could potentially be in any order, then you have Liverppol and Newcastle that arn't as good as the top three, but better than pretty much all the other teams. Looking at it like that, Liverpool and Newcastle should be fighting for 4th spot, but as we all know, it doesn't work like that when you take injuries, dips in form and bad/exeptonal managment into account.

The end of one of the greatest English footballers in histories on pitch career. Shearer was superb to watch on the pitch, elbows'n all .
