Top 10 Things people used to / still do have in / on their cars...yes I’m guilty
AND in no particular order:
1. Green Xmas tree air freshener hanging from rear view mirror.WTH?
2. Chrome mud guards
3. 2” (50.8mm) self sticking body side moldings.
4. Roof/hood mounted sonic transmitters to ward off animals.
5. Half moon chrome headlight covers.
6. Do it yourself window tinting.
7. Spring attached to bottom of fender to detect proximity of the curb.
8. Chrome tail pipe extensions (like women have for their hair)
9. Forget all the bumper stickers.
10. Lake pipes.
11.Loud mufflers.
12. Massive blowers ( compressors)
13. 650 gallons/minute Holley carburetors.
14.Racing cams. (I had a beefed up 64’ Chevy 11 with a small block V8, Isky cam etc, etc,etc, My new KIA Sportage AWD Turbo 4 would kill it.)
15. Under / in dash stereos. First 8 tracks, cassettes.....
16. Velour seat covers.
17. Rubber floor mats to cover up our rubber floors..ha ha
18. Cragar mags....BA tires on rear..even if we / I had a small 6 cylinder!!
19. Various gear shift knobs.
20. I never had one (suicide knob on steering wheel).
21. My dad an under the dash swivel Kleenex box holder.
