ive been running Indy and cant get past 40.3s, for the love of god I cant get the first half fast, Im always .2 behind the top time. Dont know if my time will hold!

I am not gonna try anymore, I just sat down for a little over an hour and realized who am I kidding, I am not going to learn Eifel in time, post a fast lap, then go back to Indy and get that time down. I thought if I waited till crunch time I might have more motivation, but its appearing that was just a stupid way to look at it if I seriously I wanted to move forward. I should have taken this more seriously, I didn't think I really had a serious shot to make top 8, but after feeling out the cars I think I could have made a nice run for it. Oh well. Good luck to those who make it, its going to be exciting to see what happens from here on out!

Are you following timeattack's ghost?

Take a break, analyze his replay then go at it again.

EERS and Forced :nervous:

Good job Carl, It was a hell of a run but you got it done 👍

I didnt see his new time, crazy!

And its weird that just following his ghost my first sector improved a bit.

sneaked past specmiata by .001 :nervous:

still going to try to improve my Indy time

I really wanted a 39.9xx but am going to settle with my 40.017 as a 39.8xx is totally unreachable for me.

z06fun came out of nowhere and he's currently 10th in the NE...and by the looks of it, he's getting faster and faster in Eifel.

gonna be a close one.

EDIT: my gawd, z06 just hit 9th and only .006 separate EERS and him. OH THE DRAMA.

Red lapped a 1'16.6 by going 3 off in the chicane after the second to last timing sector with 5 minutes left.

I am absolutely gutted. Perhaps my equipment failing mid day was a sign that this was not meant to be? All I know is that my wheel failing completely ****ed with my head, and getting a fresh wheel at 930pm made all the difference as I immediately dropped a 17.0 upon plugging it in.

I am so immeasurably sad, words can't describe. I feel lightheaded, literally, like this was all a bad dream. I really can't believe my wheel breaks the final day of GT Academy. It's just unbelievable.

I want to thank the following people, who went out of their way to send me good luck messages today. It means so much that folks would do that, to be honest, really gets me a little emotional:

EERS4Years
GTPTimeAttack
LaPierre
GTPEgghead
Blindsidefive0- for all of your help, and making a friend out of this.
TeamWorkPlease
Tha-Ghoast
RealT87Supra

and GTMotion, NotmyChoice, all the others that wished me luck.

I also just realized EERS also did not make it I am so sorry man.

To all of those that make it, I wish you the best of luck.

Glenn - I am sorry for your loss, I heard about this through my brother.

My stomach hurts, and my heart aches. I'm going to smoke a cigarrete, sip a beer, and chill out with my brother- who if it wasn't for him, would never even had a shot in the last few hours.

If there is another GT Academy next year, I'll be there.

Good night.

Nick

Still not sleeping, will probably pass out in a little while. I just wanted to say thank you to those that sent me messages - Conman, Cheef and others. I appreciate it more than you know. Godspeed and give them hell in the finals.

Damn Forced, I'm feeling for you :(
Not only are you one of the fastest racers in the country, you're attitude is top notch, easy going, and always positive 👍
Every time I've raced you has been a blast!

This one wasn't meant to be I guess, but you've got something good coming your way sooner or later. Good karma will bring that for sure, you'll see :gtpflag:

If you're still up at this hour, I guess you're going to need to drink more

I hear you man, I didn't have equipment failure on the last day, but I was sick this whole week and I only had Saturday and Sunday to give it a run only to fall slightly short.

I put so much time and energy into this, and to get sick on the final week and put in 8 hours straight on the final day only not to make it hurts so god damn much. It's weird, but I actually feel a huge sense of loss. I did not expect to get knocked out of this round. From round 1, I knew for sure I would at least make it to Florida. :(

/end emo rant

I wonder if TRC_Hunk will chime in, I haven't heard from him in a while, I imagine he is also on suicide watch... lol

Glenn - I am sorry for your loss, I heard about this through my brother.

Thank you Nick (Joe, GT-Motion, LaPierre and Seank as well) for the condolences and blessings, it was a rough and depressing week forsure, so it was great to get some love from my GT5 brothers.👍

I must say, after returning to my PS3 on Friday it was hard to find the motivation to continue something that seems so trivial in comparison.

Nick man, I want you to know we were all rooting for you. We had a chat room going about 3hours b4 the end with your brother. Talking about how great a driver you are, and how if you made it, you'd likely (from what we have all experienced racing against you) be one of the very top guys in Orlando. I also felt you'd be one of the biggest threats in a real car.

I've been checking your times all weekend. I knew you were extremely close to making the cut. as soon as the competition was over I immediately checkd the charts to see if I would get to meet you and your bro in Orlando. I was sad (and i'm sure many others) to see this wasn't so.:indiff:

Looking on a Nat'l level, you deserve to be here, but unfortunetly The NE is really tuff. Had you been in any other region you would've made the cut. Its a shame Nick as your DEF a sick talent and I think that would have shown even more in Rd4 and the RL competiton.

We'll just have to wait for you to win GT Academy 2012! 👍

Right on 👍

Orlando will not be the same without you. All the winners should know that the competition will absolutely be diminished with your absence. With few exceptions, you are one of the best wheel-to-wheel GT5 racers that I've come across.

I hope to stay in touch, pull you into some time trials (real life...), and continue racing together online.

Wow, I'm actually honored that you think I have more of a chance to make it than you. Hopefully my being away from the PS3 this coming weekend doesn't screw it up for me. :nervous:

This post is just a little too ironic. It was actually quite the opposite. Can't believe Hunk isn't around.

GL to all who made it you guys def deserve it! Can't wait to see the Coverage on Speed.

Thanks~ From NEwb Member lol
