Has anyone ever been inspired after watching "Top Gear"? Meaning, have you purchased or dusted off a car you normally wouldn't bother just to see how it drives?

It was especially fun trying to recreate a couple scenarios, one being where Jeremy Clarkson takes the NSX to Laguna Seca and then the Jaguar (S-Type?) at Nordschleife. Not to mention test driving all of these cars at the Top Gear test track. Too bad the Suzuki Liana isn't in the game however.

If there were a white van appearing in GT6, then I would try to beat Sabine Schmidt's attempt on the Nurburgring.

I'll be honest, I have attempted some 'Top Gear Challenges' with some friends by choosing a sum of money and getting them to buy (and sometimes tune) a car under that sum. But after that it's not too exciting because you can only really say 'Okay, you have to do a lap of the track' or 'Drag race'. We haven't done anything dumb like 'Do a lap of the track with a DS3 while wearing gloves' or 'Do a lap of the track entirely in reverse'.

I want to do this...

Add a lot of rear weight and try to stop the 18 year olds in the fiat punto:lol:
EDIT - anyone actually want to do this with me? we each get a car for 20,000 or under and then attempt to stop a criminal who is using something cheap, 90s and FF.

Yeah, I've done Top Gear-esque stuff before, such as, buying a car under a money limit and using the rest of that money to buy modifications for it, and I've also done car vs. car tests on the track.

All this comes of course with Top Gear-style photography :D

I recreated his Fiat Coupe using a green from Lancia, looks exactly like it but without the decals and the wheel attachments.

A friend I and do this every once in a while and it is really fun because we are TG nuts. One of the challenges that we did, was driving into a wall at 100mph, and try to drive away the fastest and win the race:lol:

Sometimes I want to take a car around the test track and see what the difference in time is between the Stig and I.
