On my way to the airport (45 min drive, 45 min flying time 🤣🤣🤣)

Last night managed to throw away a 1:59. I have no clue how those guys are doing 1.57s

Right see you all in a few days, be fast and safe racers.
Working yesterday only focused on T1 for now, with the aim to get back the gap built from Veyron at the start (5-7 km/h on finish line). I ended up not braking entering the esses, simply lift and coast till just before the curb where I put pedal to the metal. So at tunnel exit I'm almost perfectly superimposed with the Kinder Ferrero Veyron ghost on top of leaderbord (checked my DNA and it's still very human btw). Today I'll work on the launch for the back straight, where that Veyron just flys away.
The only minus of NSX is that I'm really struggling to adapt my "Gurzu livery" on it. The rear side panels are beatchy to draw on.

After watching Tidgney's video for the daily races i thought i give race B a go in the Cayman.
It was my 2. daily race ever. So i hadn't high hopes.

But surprise, with a 2:00,689 i started from pole!
The start went well, but on the long straight a NSX overtook me. I tried to stay right at his tail, but in the left hander before the pit entry i took a too sharp line and received a 0.5s penalty

The Penalty hit in the next lap and i lost 2s to the leader.
Luckily for me there was a "crash game" going on behind me, so i kept P2.
The NSX and me had pretty much the same speed. And that's how it ended.

I hope i can do another race today, but i'm afraid it can only get worse :sly:

@mellofello9 nice sub 2min time for you there buddy! Just need one of them myself!
Appreciate that...and those started comin' outta nowhere. Once I nailed 1/2/3 and through the tunnel, my times dropped dramatically. The 'Hura-cant' became the 'Hura-can' again and it's been a blast 'round Trial Mountain in either direction. That said, how people are into the 7's and 8's is beyond me. I could try the ghost but then I'd probably just quit. 🤣

If anyone has been on the fence about dragging the Lambo out of storage, give it a try. To/For me, the Lambo has the most 'RWD' feel to it of all the AWD platforms. Great to throw around.

In the end, though, it's the rest of y'all on my friends list that keeps me motivated.😁

My DR has taken a bit of a battering so far this week. Started off at Laguna Seca, but although I find it a fun combo, I'm making far too many mistakes in the race and kept finishing in the last 2 spots.

Switched to Trial Mountain and didn't do much better for the first few races. I think I'm getting the hang of it now - quali now down to 2:00.3 in the GT-R and just got my first win from pole.

I may return to LS as I'm a glutton for punishment 🙄

I hope you're all fairing better than me 🤞

Get this, finally managed a win today! 😁

On lunch I managed a few QT laps, first one managed to improve by 2 thousandths 🤨 but the following lap took a good half sec off and now at 2.00.3xx @BuzzdoggZ real tight in the leaderboards 👍

Start P2 behind this GTR, super clean between us both, only us in the race in the end and I held on for the win! Super tense the whole way through

Today after the GTWS cup race I had another great Daily Race B at the Mountain!

Placed 3rd overall, starting from 8th postion on grid overall. Last lap was the most fun as I was chasing p3 and p2 and the chrome gold Lambo Huracan had a half sec penalty and i manged to outpace the Repsol Honda NSX in p3 then snubbed the lambo due to his penalty on the finish line.

SO pretty sweet! I am really enjoying this balance of this race, just wish the Gr.4 cars had little more oomph and at least RM tyres choices!

Hope this is not too off topic. Taking some (long) time to work on the livery for the NSX Gr.4 for TM. I was at a good point, so I saved before taking dinner. Just to find after that something is wrong. In the icon there's the advanced job, but in reality the advancement are those saved Mondey. 😱 ar. 4 hrs work waisted. Thanks PD.

Today I had the opportunity to do two B races. I'm just an almost invisible line of A, but have a pretty OK QT at TM, but got matched in an almost exclusive A+ lobby. Started around P12 and ended P12 I think, and actually gained DR. Second race I was in an all A lobby, started P2 and ended P2.

This pattern repeats often when I race - If I have a good QT (low three digits) the first race for the day is with A+ folks, second and all consecutive are with A people. When I have average QT, or none at all, I'm always in A lobbies.

Anyone else noticed this?

I seem to get a bit of the opposite. I'll get all B/A drivers and then get put in A/A+ lobbies where I normally am (currently A/A+ drifter). It's not EVERY time, but it's often enough to notice. To the point that, if I struggle with the first race of the day, I know it's gonna be a painful day.

Since we're talking general daily race gameplay behavior for a minute...anyone else feel like the vehicle contact penalties have eased/changed? I noticed at Seaside last week that I wasn't getting the usual number of 2 and 3 second penalties for chain-reaction impacts at the CoD.

For a moment I thought I was getting better at it...then I realized that, if I WAS getting better, I wouldn't be wondering why I didn't pick-up a penalty for that car I just pounded.😁

EDIT
Nice QT by the way...need to work on chasin' that.

I cannot understand the livery tool at all, absolutely zero idea how it works. People are brilliant at tit so I just cherry pick the best old school Aussie touring car liveries i can find.
Same here, also don’t have the time to invest in making them so I’m just content searching and my young boys pick out the ones they like 🤣

Respect for the folk that do @Gurzu 👊

I managed 3 races (B) yesterday:

Race 1
I started from P5. But somehow i couldn't make up any time to the top.
I lost one position to a Citroen GT, who simply was faster than me.
P6 in the end. Could be worse ...

Race 2
P3 in the grid this time.
Unlike the race before, a lot of paint swapping during the whole race!
I could avoid any contact until lap 2, after the left hander before the pit entry. I was in P4, an Alfa and a Lambo were fighting for P1. The Alfa went of the track and as as he came back, he hit me pretty hard on the right rear wheel
Trial Mountain Circuit__1.jpg

I spun and was last.
Thanks to some more chaos, i finished P9.

Race 3
P5 in the grid again.
This race was the complete opposite from race 2. No action at all for me.
I gained 2 positions as 2 cars in front of me served their 0.5s penalties.
I finished P3, what was a good result to quit that day of racing.

Getting abit fed up racing against the Bugatti, how is this bop adjusted? It’s catching up with 0.5sec per straight, no fun at all to be racing with
Yeah agreed it's getting a bit silly now. Even if I get a perfect run AND a slipstream onto the back straight, I still see a lone Bugatti behind me, well out of the draft, gaining on me. That's crazy.

They are slow through the left after the back straight and especially the left entering the chicane but they are near impossible to pass. I had pole 3 times last night and all 3 times I was passed by the vetron lap one and despite being up their rear end the whole time, I couldn't find a way past.

I've been DR A for 10 days only few weeks ago (Suzuka Gr.4 and DF Gr.3). I usually started from front row (actually 39% poles vs total of started Daylies races, and presumably ar 80-85% front rows) cause, expecially in low DR lobbies, I always tried to avoid the "incertitude" related to mid pack position, thanks to a solid QT. Basically I avoided racing if my QT wasn't granting me the 1st or 2dr row at the start. Still I'm a sort of "Leclèrc" due to the 20% (only) wins vs all those front rows. In my DR A period I started 1/3 of all races mixed with A+ drivers (especially if racing before noon), few times the only A in the first 12 drivers (mostly 1st row with the polman QT ar 1 to 3 tenths faster than mine and the 3rd one just few millisec. slower !?). I never was higher than 3-5% DR A... I think there's something due to the QT's spread (quite low in DR A-A+) that is required vs the actual players connected. It looks like PD uses to fill lobbies accordingly, sometimes mixing few lower DR in higher DR lobbies and the opposite when needed. Last week at Glen I had many times DR B - SR S lobbies filled with one or two DR A SR S/A guys. So I guess it goes in both direction and it happens less in low DR lobbies, cause the wider spread required.

I cannot understand the livery tool at all, absolutely zero idea how it works.
It's a very user friendly design tool, way simpler and easy to use (bugs a part) compared to an usual graphics software or a photo editor. Personally I started designing my personal liveries more than 25 years ago with GPLegends mods. A real pain in the... Finding the right file in the right directory, convert it to a bipmap or jpeg type, modify, reconvert it and run the game; just to take a print screen to check the result. 😵‍💫
I encourage you to try it. There's a huge amount of free to modify liveries shared on GT7. I suggest to try starting from one which is not too elaborated. I'm sure btw there's also some kinda user guide video on YT about the tool. You may get "the virus" too. 😉

@brockie I really appreciate. To me, and I'm sure is the same for many, the time spent on liveries is enjoyable like the time spent racing.

It's art, in the end. I mean, sure, you're basically playing with stickers...but what you can create with those stickers is pretty awesome. I could spend HOURS in there...but then the pull of racing kicks in and I end up doing that instead.

BUT, it is SUPER EASY to use. The options may seem overwhelming at first but once you run through them a couple times it becomes instinctual. If nothing else, it beats having the same damn livery as the rest. Sometimes I throw a coat-o-paint at cars just so I know who I am...and there's ALWAYS a better wheel choice.

Hoping for some track time this evening, having TM withdrawal symptoms. I've chosen the remote, tree-lined roadways for my commute home the last couple days. Fun things have been happening.😁

Yes, it looks like that to me. Again today I was in the same race as 8 A+ (me still less than 10% A) and after the race I counted 6 of them in the top 100. I had nothing to hope for there, just try to keep up and stay out of trouble. Gaining a position on A+ folks is not the easiest.

I don't mind necessarily, a mix between DR and QT makes sense to me when matching, but it's the randomness about it that I don't get.
