Guess I really need to decide which car I'm actually going to enter as I currently have 4 cars all turning virtually identical times.

I've kept trying cars hoping to find one that had some edge in feel at least but so far the top cars for me are almost identical to drive.

Start posting tomorrow till Sunday. Did you guys find that you'll need to adjust your tunes according to Spec 2.0?

Just need to add -06 point front TOE to let the car the way it was before 2.0 , not exactly but very close. The 2.0 is less sharp on the front and i needed to gain more steering and turn in response to correct it.

I hope you'll post the rest of the tunes after the shootout. I need more selections of 500PP in my touge garage! lol.

Tuners, post one copy of your tunes here as archive for this shootout and a link to your garage.

And I'll link to your tunes on 'this' thread. This is to keep an archive of the tuner tunes for this shootout. So this will retain your "original" version car for the shootout, as I know many times, people have Spec II versions or sometimes do a garage clean out and the tune will be lost.

If your interested I've got several cars on share currently that have test setups for this event...none of them are the car I'll be using although I found each of them interesting.:D

Me too. I have good cars on share just not "the one"

I wouldnt worry too much about the times. If you can consistently hit 3.50 and you know theres more time in the car your doing fine.

Thanks BB. I keep telling myself that to keep the fight going but it's good to hear it from someone else. 👍

Like most I have a couple tunes I can pick from but, of course, both will have my signature bright color slapped on them. One feels a bit ordinary but the other should be slightly out of the box...not for me but maybe for others. :sly:

I'm running consistent 3:51's and 3:52's in a stock 457 pp evora that I'm using to learn the course and as a baseline. Light weight is way more important than hp on this course.:)

Wish that weight thing held true for me...
Have several good cars that are much lighter than the ones I'm currently tuning that I really liked, but they tested out several seconds slower for me despite having much superior power to weight. Part of that I'm sure is them being penalized with thinner tires because they are mid '80s cars and not more recent cars with wider tires.:(

Probably. The lotus is also very fast for it's pp, though it's a bit tricky to drive. The older cars just feel less smooth and have low grip in general. I'd go with modern super wide rubber:)

Cool, I'll add you guys and start building the cars.

Edit: The new Tuning Sheet is very much welcomed to help track the tunes as you can edit the description!

Since testing time is approaching its time to talk about giving out cars to those that dont have a particular car to build themselves.

I have 2 copies of my car (which isnt rare at all btw) to send to testers.

I plan on keeping my car choice secret till I post it, so I was thinking shall I PM testers to tell them my car choice. This would mean they can possibly buy it from the UCD if they dont already have it.

This would hopefully make the process of gifting and waiting on cars to test a little easier and quicker . Thoughts ?

Here is my tune for the shootout. I have 2 cars like this already build and broken.

TimberW you read my post above or what ?

Yes I did. You'll keep the cars first, when revealed, then whichever test driver who wants the car can ask from the tuner.

Test Drivers can start clocking the times as well.

Edit: I discovered that I'm in fact a human... haha... the times aren't near the 3:39 mark at all... lol.

Still finessing my suspension and trying to squeeze out a bit more power..Struggling with a bit of high speed oversteer at the moment, but I should be able to cure it, hopefully.

Looks like I'm staying with my NSX. After dropping some power and adding downforce it's fixed all my previous problems. :D Plus it seems I'm learning the track too which is a bonus. :D

I'm wondering myself whether I should go for outright power or a touch of down-force + a drop of power. Hmm...

At first I went with outright power because the NSX can cope with it. I had 367bhp and aside from being a slippery bugger it was fast. Thing is that isn't ideal for this shootout so I dropped 30bhp, weight reduced it by 100kg and added some downforce. It's faster and easier to drive overall now. So I think you'd be better off with a touch of downforce and a power drop. 👍

I ran my first warm up lap in your Evora and destroyed all of my previous record's. I ran 3'49.8xx and that was with two accidents.

Good ,very good, there is a special thing with this car, drive it smooth, brake in time , drive on the good line, and you will have a surprise with your lap time. Don't be too agressive, don't pass over the tires but steady. It's magic and keep smiling during your run ,it will help. :)👍

Definitley fast, There just two corners that always mess me up.
I love the Transmission on this thing though. 3rd and 4th almost the whole track.

Although looking at the car It says it 321 Hp and 499PP.

What times are you running I'm getting 3:45:xxx 's with room for improvement offline with the share car. Is this your final entry to the TOSS? if so I'll add the settings to an evora and begin my time trials online.
