Odd I ran several cars around the track and even checked the new track options and there was no rain and couldn't change options to make it rain.

EDIT: I didn't see rain when I joined Monstar's room, but later on when I hosted an open lobby, there was rain on the Toscana (Tarmac) custom map. However, I changed map and the rain was gone...
And I'm liking the new physics! Tuners, make sure you retest your tunes!

Automatically weather is at 50% so it means half the time its raining I guess ? All we need to do is change tracks to reload and it should be dry. Hopefully it cant rain half way through a session.
My car oversteers a little less which is good, I ran a couple of scruffy laps and both were 3.47s my target is a 3.45 which looks very achievable. Maybe I could go lower, the updates been good for my car.

Spec 2 physics has made my NSX's more oversteery. Fixing my sports soft NSX-R was easy and as a result it's actually a better car than it ever was, however trying to fix my TTS entry is proving to be a struggle, especially as it's battling with online physics too. Since this is actually a shootout that ends in a touge battle and not a time attack, I think I'm going to move onto a car that I won't have to fight around corners. Last thing anyone needs during a heated battle is a car that misbehaves. I think I'm going to look at an Evo or something else that's 4WD.

Yeah there is the 50% rain thing on all the time. Maybe I just got bad luck as when I changed 4 different tracks it was

So... after running different cars in different tracks for a few hours where I noticed the biggest difference/improvement was in dampening rates.

There is a "regenerate course" button. Doesn't seem to actually change the course but it gets rid of the rain.

I'm getting hugely frustrated trying to get a car to work on the required tyres and track. Playing catch up with my ghost is annoying the hell outta me, even more so when I've got it properly whipped to then miss an apex or clip the edge of the track and see the sodding thing sail past me
In short, I'm not enjoying the game

This happen to me when i was learning the touge toscana track. After 30 laps you'll begin to love it, it's an amazing track. The ghost is the perfect solution to memorize the turns and tips. Just need to make a ghost with a slower car , around 2 seconds slower, and follow it easy with a faster car. Like this you'll be able to read perfectly the track . After it's only pure pleasure, this is a fantastic road.... 👍👍

I found that it always rains if you set the time to 18:00, if you set it to 19:00 there is no rain.

I've put in 10s if not 100s of miles at the track, so track knowledge isn't the problem. I just can't build a car that'll get round it in a competitive time. Deadline is almost upon us and I'll have, at most, 4hrs of driving time between now and then.
I'd rather put down my controller, step away from the game and let my blood cool. Then I'll borrow somebody else's car after the deadline and rekindle my love of the game...

I am going to have to hope it is my driving that stinks and not my car. So far the best time I have managed is in the low 3'50s and I'm pretty much running it like a WRS event. 
Saw a low 3'40s time yesterday testing out Spec 2.0 but I found later the car was on sports softs. Haven't yet had a 500pp car do any faster in my hands so I'll keep going and hope a better driver can push the car around faster than I can.

Same here DB, I know I'm slower than a lot of these guys but you start to wonder when they say their trying to get to 3:40 or below. Just can't find enough grip with my lack of driving skills to come close to that.I am going to have to hope it is my driving that stinks and not my car. I wouldnt worry too much about the times. If you can consistently hit 3.50 and you know theres more time in the car your doing fine. My best is a 3m47s .
I could get 3.45 I reckon but ive went backwards on my setup and ruined it. I wish I could do a system restore to 3 days ago haha.
