Onyx reforming = opportunity for new brands. All I was doing was speculating.Just because Mike Earle ran Focuses under the Arena Motorsport name, that does not mean Onyx will.

I wouldn't go that far. You can still make 6 at times when you put 2 and 2 together with things you hear although a ford WTCC twitter page has suddenly turned up.@Holdenhsvgtsr probably has the most insider knowledge on the subject, that's why he said that Ford are returning to WTCC. Should be interesting to watch develop.
Well, the organisers said some time ago that they expected a fifth manufacturer to enter. The announcement of Onyx's return was a surprise, but Earle did not just decide to return to motorsport after twenty-odd years and put a team together three months out from the start of the season. It's a fair bet that he has been working on this bid for some time and only just announced it now.
I'll PM you.Anywhere we can watch this online? Don't know if WTCC have any streaming up?
My logic is that an utterly dull race 1 will make a great race 2. Those French rocketships will have to overtake the Chevrolet's and Honda's. (Yvan Muller is best Citroen starting P7 IIRC).I'll PM you.
WTCC is just utterly crap. I don't know what these regulations were supposed to do, but it has produced the most pathetic, dull and stretched out racing.
They'll get it done in one lap (probably unfairly), and then team-orders fest.My logic is that an utterly dull race 1 will make a great race 2. Those French rocketships will have to overtake the Chevrolet's and Honda's. (Yvan Muller is best Citroen starting P7 IIRC).
Drive through for Bennani for hitting Coronel, no idea why...
He would have been able to get out of the car through the passenger side if the wall hadn't been there. You can hardly blame the car for that.Firstly, the Tarquini incident - he only got out the car because the Honda has a tailgate.
That would be because the boot lid wasn't there. There is pretty much nothing inside these cars except for a roll cage and driver's seat. And it did it's job as Coronel is perfectly fine.Coronel's car was so crumpled you could see right through to the dashboard.
Walls are on all tracks. It's the most basic of safety features that's been ignored. If the car was on fire, he'd be trapped, so i'm not sure why you think it's not a danger. Tarquini's bringing it up with the FIA anyway, and quite rightly so.He would have been able to get out of the car through the passenger side if the wall hadn't been there. They look flimsy as heck, and as soon as they get a tap, whole chunks of bodywork drop off. Then all the cars seem to be disintegrating. Coronel's car was so crumpled you could see right through to the dashboard.
Finally, Valente's car caught fire about ten minutes after it had been switched off.
Then don't watch it.WTCC infuriates me in every way.
First you say Audi are lifeless for doing well in WEC and now Citroen are heartless for doing well in WTCC(though the dominance does look slightly annoying from both perspectives), I see a pattern here.Citroen ruined racing, heartless sour bunch.
This has happened before, not a massive deal. Finally, Valente's car caught fire about ten minutes after it had been switched off.
