Meh. I find the races a little too long.
There. I said it.

"Oh, V8 Supercars, yeah, sure..."Meh. I find the races a little too long.

Err, V8 Supercars. Do keep up.They're not long enough. Or they are at a decent length now, but the races are so boring there's no point at all.
Oh bugger. Let's edit that last one out.Err, V8 Supercars. Do keep up.
I get the highlights on Motors TV. I love how it's usually laid back, with the guy in the pits seemingly given free reign to go anywhere, and I love how everyone has a nickname. Frosty Winterbottom is the best nickname of ever. I also like how it is (usually) clean racing with such big cars on somewhat tight circuits.I've never met someone from outside Australia (and New Zealand, I guess) who hasn't said that or similar.
We must be doing something right.
Larkham, Skaife and Crompton are all former racers, so they all on good terms with the teams.I love how it's usually laid back, with the guy in the pits seemingly given free reign to go anywhere

Stick with the BTCC. The WTCC is little more than a marketing exercise for manufacturers, and the series has struggled with poor circuit choices (like Monza, which isn't suited to touring cars) and a race format that is too short for actual racing to take place. The BTCC is far more competitive, and far more diverse.Any advice, knowledge or anything on WTCC?

If you're looking for a new series to get involved in and aren't already familiar with it, I strongly recommended you look into V8 Supercars. It's unlikely that you'll be able to watch a race in person, unless you're willing to fly out to Australia or New Zealand, but they're worth watching. Pukekohe is on this weekend, which is a fantastic little sprint circuit which is as bumpy as it is fast. In today's race, the top twenty drivers were covered by less than a second in qualifying, and while it's not always easy to pass, the cars are big and designed to tolerate wheel-to-wheel racing - unlike the WTCC cars, which tend to break if you look at them funny.
BTCC is near as can be perfect at the minute. In my opinion, it's the best race series in the world.
I do. Doesn't touch me in the same way as BTCC does though.
Is the weekend for the Norisring races no good for you? Nuremburg is an hour and a half away from you by train or by car. Good opportunity to see DTM, the F3 euroseries, Carrera Cup and last year they had a historic car race, though I'm not sure if there will be one this year.I was wanted to go see some racing in person though, I love sitting in general admission with a few beers, a picnic and just enjoying the sun Unfortunately, there aren't really any tracks near Munich (I want to go and come back in the same day) and the only event which was DTM in Olympia park was cancelled this year
Shame really, seems north Germany gets the share of races!

Why the BTCC?
The British Touring Car Championship is the pinnicle of British Motorsport and offers the best all-round package for commercial advertising and of course, high-octane thrilling racing!
The series is broadcast live, nationally to 23 million viewers, over 229 hours. As a sponsor this provides unpresidented coverage for your brand at a fraction of the cost of TV advertising. In addition, predicted trackside audiences are expected to exceed 500,000 in 2014 and 2015
"The advertising space on the front or side of a BTCC car carries an awful lot of weight...We believe the return on investment is two or three fold, without a shadow of a doubt."
Simon Knight, UK Field Sales Director, Wrigley
