Well...

Something like the FT-1 is going to be produced in collaboration with BMW (as Toyota has seem to have lost the ability to develop a sports car on their own).

I think the name for it will be, oh what was it...

Oh yeah, Supra. :sly:
What about the LFA?

The LFA was 21st century remake of the 2000GT, using the same philosophy of using all the technology available to them.

And then charge people out the ass for it. :P

The LFA is more of a blood brother to the Supra than it is the Supra itself, both cars trace their inspiration back to the 2000GT.

I just don't under why the LFA HAD to be a Lexus. What would have been wrong with having it as a Toyota?

Well, a 350,000$ Toyota just doesn't sounds right to me...

Even badged as a Lexus, the price was easily a big problem and for a car that as far as I can tell, isn't that much faster then a Ferrari 599 or cars of similar performance yet cost more then one. Toyota has had a problem with being the "boring" brand and that car could've easily been the car that shattered the stigma.

Unfortunately, price wasn't a problem. But the good thing is - because of it's price. It's not going to depreciate... like a Ferrari 599.

The reason to take Lexus is in the name :sly:
'L'uxury 'EX'portation cars to the 'US' :sly:

This could potentially be the 1st tintop VGT car with an actual interior.

It's implied the downforce could be SuperGT like, but I hope its GT3-like in actual performance.

So either this will be the one closed cockpit VGT car that has a cockpit by virtue of the previous car its based upon, or it'll have no interior like the others.

Anyhow, those look great.

That looks great! Hope it has some speed to back it up.

I get the feeling it won't be short on speed.

I think it will be an OP Super GT/lower end LMP level of performance. All Vision cars have been OP to an extent.

I kind of think this is the sort of car you could see mixing it up with the top non-LMP cars in the Dream Car Challenge races... My guestimate would have the PP be near-around 650-700.

Im kinda "bored" with the basic FT1 shape and design. So, a bit disappointed Toyota didnt decide to go a different route but yeah, guess they were keeping to what they had in mind with the silhouette.

The new generation GT500's are extremely fast. Theyre at 1:28's around Fuji in qualifying. My bro said thats faster than the 2013 Lola Rebellion Toyota lmp1! Itll be interesting to see power/weight of this. I think GT500 now is 1020kg/550-600hp.

Here's why I think Toyota made a race car version of the FT-1. (Completely speculation)

The FT-1 will be a Supra or some other kind of high end Toyota super car that will go into production some time in the future. Toyota wants to enter races with this future super car so they make a concept of it as a race car as a design test and see if fans like it.

*shrug*

YOU GENIUS

This is most definitely very GT500-y. Now going with the other VGT's, it should be just over 600PP. To be on terms with current GT500's, it should be between 610 and 615PP.
